Before any of youse ask no, I still have not started watching Billy's series The Audacity yet (which is what these gifs are from) -- I've posted about the series a couple of times previously, saying I'd get to it. But it ain't been gotten yet. What's new! This weekend whizzed by and somehow it's Monday now and I got nothing done. (I mean I did get to do some cool shit, as explicated in this thread at Bluesky, but I got nothing checked off my list of Shit I Gotta Get Done, which might as well be etched into stone tablets at this point.) Anyway nobody is here to read my "What I Did This Weekend" essay in elementary school class -- I keep forgetting that. Y'all here for Billy Buns and those, bless our Billy, are in ample and buoyant supply for us right on after the jump...

You know I chose this passage of dialogue from the Road House remake just to post these gifs of Billy Magnusson in a speedo -- you know it, I know it, Billy knows it, the aliens a billion light years from Earth know it, so let's just move on. Because it's Billy's birthday! Our beautiful blond Billy boy is turning 41 today and we wish him a great one. I imagine he is having one of those anyway since well he's Billy Magnussen, look at him. But also his new series The Audacity has, from what I can tell, gotten very good notices -- I haven't started it yet but it's very much on the list. Any of you watch it yet? 

Billy Magnussen Three Times

Awww we're so proud of Billy, getting his own big feature in The New York Times -- read it here (thx Mac). He's talking his buzzy new series The Audacity, which sees him playing a tech-bro asshole to supposedly great effect -- the reviews I've seen have been great! We've been rooting for great things for Billy since forever so this all makes us happy, and I guess I will watch this show even if spending time with tech-bro douchebags doesn't really sound like a thing I wanna do in the year 2026. I said the same thing about finance assholes before I started watching Industry and obviously that turned out to be dumb on my part! Anyway these photos aren't as slutty as the ones in EW earlier this week (to get back to the important things) but he looks lovely as ever. ETA oh and here's a gif from a little video too:

Our beloved Billy has a new AMC series called The Audacity coming out and the folks at Entertainment Weekly were kind enough to give him the spotlight for it -- and Billy, being Billy, did what Billy does. (He made us smile while also thinking really filthy thoughts, bless him.) Billy Got Me Buzzin

Okay I thought this news sounded familiar so I went and checked and yes, I posted about it back in October -- but whatever, writing about it again allows me to post that photo of Billy Magnusson flexing in scrubs that he shared on his Insta earlier. Everybody wins. And it is an update on said earlier news -- we previously told you that Billy was going to star in the next horror-comedy from Suitable Flesh director Joe Lynch, which made us very happy because Suitable Flesh kicked ass (see my review right here.) It kicked ass and also -- Lynch showed a fine proclivity for getting his two sexy leading men (in that case Johnathon Schaech and Judah Lewis) outta their scrubs. The new movie is called Buzzkill and it's got a delightful fun plot which I'll allow Deadline to summarize:

"... billed as a monster movie with a boozy twist, Magnussen plays Sheriff Red, who while recently widowed and struggling with drinking too much, launches an investigation as townspeople begin turning up murdered and dismembered. He soon discovers that a horrifying creature is stalking the town — and can only be seen by the inebriated. With the annual brewery festival approaching and the entire town preparing for a weekend of heavy drinking, Red must confront his demons to save his town."

The new news that Deadline is sharing is the movie is indeed going forward as Bleecker Street Films have picked up the rights, and it'll be shooting in Texas at the start of next year for a 2027 drop. Oh and an actor named Lulu Wilson is splaying Billy's daughter (Billy enters DILF-land, huzzah!) -- Wilson has previously been seen in small roles in a couple of Mike Flanagan series on Netflix along with the films Becky and its sequel The Wrath of Becky, which... I have heard of? For some reason? I don't know why. Anybody familiar with the Becky-verse?

Chug Billy Chug

We would be very happy boys if Billy Magnusson just started making lots of horror movies -- that cherubic face splattered with blood? Are you kidding me? I'll swoon. So we're greeting today's news with one helluva huzzah -- he's going to star in Buzzkill, the next horror movie from Suitable Flesh director Joe Lynch! (Suitable Flesh is so much fun y'all.) Billy boy will play a recovering alcoholic sheriff in a small Texas town who finds himself facing down an invisible monster that people can only see when they're trashed. It's also got a Jaws twist in that there's a big annual beer festival coming up in the town that's doomed to turn into a bloodbath if he can't stop it. So kind of John Carpenter's They Live meets MTV's Spring Break programming? I'm into it. Put Billy in a uniform and I'm into it. (But take Billy out of a uniform? Now we're really cooking.) In related news Billy's actually got a scary thriller type flick out on Halloween -- it's called Violent Ends and god he looks gorrrrgeous in the trailer, watch below:

Billy Butt on a Boat Bye

Billy Magnusson spent this past weekend proposing to his girlfriend and playing with a drone while naked on a boat -- I think we all know the activity of those two I find more interesting. Aww -- congrats, Billy. If you gotta be straight it's a damn shame but hopefully she sees that butt and understands her responsbility to take care of it. Anyway if you can peel your eyes off those cheeks for a moment let me say hello for this brief moment I am at my desk today -- NYFF press screenings are going strong and I'm heading back into the theater right now to continue our journey through some of the best that Fall 2025 Cinema has to offer. Next week I will be here for a skinny minute again Monday morning, and then I'm out until Thursday. Busy boy! So please enjoy the Billy butt-cheeks in my absence!

A photoshoot of Billy Magnusson for Men's Health magazine should be slightly more gratuitous than the one we got last week if you ask me -- he is Billy magnusson dammit! But as I just said, he is Billy -- we'll happily slobber all over whatever Billy wants us to slobber all over. And you can tell him I said that too! Kit Harington Gonna Ride Billy Magnusson Hard

Some news that shoots right up our alley dropped yesterday -- Kit Harington and Billy Magnusson are set to star in a fantastical horse-racing comedy called Chariot! It's about "an oversized jockey" (and no offense Kit but that's some flattery, insinuating you're too big to play a jockey -- we love you pocket-sized!) who gets injured but finds his way back into the sport... with the comedic twist being that the "horse" in question that shows him how to suceed again is really a centaur. And if you can't picture Billy Magnusson as a centaur then you have no imagination. Anyway yes if you've now caught up this is a movie about Kit Harginton riding on (a presumably shirtless) Billy Magnusson's back. And the next time someone says to you that the movies are dead you need to slap them twice across the face, once for each cheek, because this is proof the movies have never been more alive, baby! 

Real Quick, By Billy

Hey everybody! Happy Monday. Just popping by real fast to lay down a reminder that it's NYFF time and posting will be real sporadic for the next couple of weeks as I'm in press screenings et cetera for that until the middle of October. And then it's NewFest and Brooklyn Horror Fest time and I'll be attending / enjoying those for the week after that. Very busy few weeks! So instead of me saying this every time I'm not here, just assume it's that -- don't call your local fire stations or hospitals, I have (probably) not fallen down a well. Billy Magnussen Twelve Times

Too bad that this photo-shoot of Billy Magnusson in Numero Netherlands magazine didn't pop off last week so I could've shared it as his film Coup! hit theaters (and streaming as well I believe?) -- as I briefly mentioned Thursday I was underwhelmed by the movie (I just didn't buy a second of it) but as a vehicle for Billy's hotness it delivers and sometimes (every time) that is enough for me. (Although points deducted for Billy having a scene where his character strips naked in front of everybody and we don't see shit. How dare they!) Anyway there is also a chat with Billy in the mag which you can read at that first link up top or per usual if you just want the pictures I got just the pictures after the jump...

Tell It To My Hartnett

The big movie out this weekend is M. Night Shyamalan's Trap starring Josh Hartnett -- I have not seen this yet, but I already have my tickets and am going to the theater to do just that over the weekend like a regular ol' person. Nothing will ever keep me from Josh! The fact that I heard they weren't screening this for critics -- I'm not 100% on that since I still only get invited to things about half the time, but I certainly wasn't invited -- is worrisome, but the trailer looks fun... and Josh. I do it all for Josh! Anyway besides that there is the horror movie Cuckoo with Hunter Schafer and Dan Stevens (which is pretty good) and the dark class-comedy Coup! with Peter Sarsgaard and Billy Magnusson (which is not good but Billy looks deeply, incredibly hot in it so it's watchable enough) so maybe you'll see something. Maybe not. I don't know. I am incredibly tired and can't think of clever things to say right now. So I will just bid y'all adieu until Monday -- I might have some more Fantasia reviews going up over the weekend though, so keep an eye on my socials for links. Or don't. It's so hot y'all. I cannot think. Bye. 

War of the Staches

Well this one looks fun! Peter Sarsgaard and Billy Magnusson's musaches face off in Coup!, a class-warfare comic thriller about a fancy man (Magnusson) facing a take-over by his head-chef (Sarsgaard) during the Spanish Flu pandemic of the nineteen-teens. There's some The Menu, some Triangle of Sadness, there's the great Sarah Gadon and there's every single shot of Billy with his mustache making me swoon.

Pic of the Day

Over the weekend the photographer Claudio Carpi was nice enough to share this photo of Jake Gyllenhaal in character for Road House promotional duties -- this is a variation of the shot that ended up on the poster of course but here it is unadorned in all of its natural glory. Although I hesitate to call this Jake "natural" given the shaving and waxing and spray-tanning and uhh whatever else was going on to make him look like he looked in Road House. I got a few comments over the past few days on our previous Road House posts from people who've watched the movie since its release last Thursday...

... but if you watched it and haven't share your thoughts, the comments of this post are the place! I decided it's not really worth my time to write a full review, given how "meh" my thoughts are -- it has its moments, but after watching it I still really don't know why it exists. Everything truly weird and memorable about the 1989 film was wiped away for an ocassionally fun but pretty generic action movie. Billy Magnussen Four Times

If I had to make a wager -- and I can't really imagine a situation in which wager-making would ever occur, but that's what makes it such an exciting idea! -- I'd wager that we will get more photos from this shoot (via) before the magazine they're for comes out. For photos does not a shoot make! But seeing as how I posted a picture of Billy in a speedo this morning I am not going to poke or prod (well maybe, but not in this way) him about it. Take your time with us, Billy. Take as long as you want. I am in no hurry as far as you're concerned!

Good Morning, World

Now that Road House has been on Amazon Prime for a full 24-ish hours how many of you have watched it? Anybody? I honestly wouldn't blame anybody for saving it for this weekend -- it's a weekend movie. Not a Thursday afternoon movie. Although I guess I shouldn't try to put barriers on your lives -- who knows how you live? Live free! Watch Road House on a Thursday afternoon -- kumbayah, motherfuckers. Anyway as seen above Jake in his blakck underwear is New Road House's version of the original's bare-assed Patrick Swayze scene, so adjust your expectations for whenever you watch it. The movie certainly doesn't skimp on Jake Flesh -- he spends maybe three-quarters of it with if not his shirt entirely off his shirt unbuttoned the entire way. But no ass from him (Conor McGregor on the other hand). At least Billy Magnussen rocks a speedo though, as seen below. Anyway that's the nudity report for the movie -- stay tuned to see if I find the weherweithal to write an actual review today. Off we go...

The new Road House premieres tomorrow at SXSW and all the boys have been sharing set photos on their Instagram -- I've shared a lot of Jake Gyllenhaal'sset snaps  here on the site but he's not the only one; click here to see some notble ones that Arutro Castro has shared as well. The testosterone flowed free on that set, for sure! Anyway leave it to Billy Magnusson to show up and win the game with the above photo of himself (and co-star Darren Barnet, who we've shown a liking for before) rocking a speedo (click to embiggen). It's The Road House Poster

I flew home from Sundance last night (yes yes and my arms are real tired) but even still I wasn't planning on posting here until Monday, as the online portion of that festival begins today... and yet here we are. How could I not break into my break for that, the ab-tastic poster for Jake Gyllenhaal's Road House remake (via)? We're also being promised the trailer for the movie, directed by Doug Liman of Go fame, tomorrow -- so I'll probably make another exception about posting tomorrow. Stay tuned! Road House hits Prime (yeah they're being real dumb and skipping theaters) on March 21st. See all our previous coverage (with lots of Jake in states of undress even before this poster) right here. I hope my boyfriend is prepared for me to hang this poster above our bed!
