Well I made it to the last day of NYFF before getting sick, so that's something! But sick indeed I am -- it's not Covid, or so two tests taken over the past day and a half have told me. It feels like the same thing I had last year around this time -- an extremely sore throat, is the gist of it. But seeing as how there's literally no symptom of illness I loathe more than a sore throat that's plenty. Anyway you really can't ask me to entertain you in this state, so this is it. Don't ask! You could be having an allergic reaction from the fires in Canada. I’ve had bronchitis for the past 3 summers. I have a constant cough. Some days it’s not much, but sometimes it’s bigger. To soothe your throat, try melting two cough drops in hot water and drinking it. I find that that often helps.
I recently had the razor throat variant of Covid and it was the worst thing I’ve experienced. Like gargling razor blades and short of breath. Take care of yourself and feel better soon
eucalyptus lozenges. at least there’s no fever ( i hope). they’re the worst.
