First things - it's become really hard to find images or anything from the Out magazine cover story which that picture is from. Do you think Channing's people have tried to wipe it off the internet? That seems impossible - I mean, this is the guy who's embraced (and made heaps of money) off of the fact that he was a stripper. This was just a modeling gig... and yet, it's kind of nowhere. This sort of thing doesn't vanish without a concerted effort to make it so (cough Luke Evans cough). You can find little versions of the cover around, but I know there were a lot more pictures, I remember this issue well. I should go digging in my magazine boxes, I bet I have it somewhere.
Anyway it's a big week for Magic Mike stars maybe playing gay - yesterday we heard that Lee Daniels wants to make a Gay Action Hero Movie starring Alex Pettyfer and an as-of-yet unchosen black dude, and today comes news that Bridesmaids and The Heat writer/director Paul Feig wants to make a gay romantic comedy starring Channing Tatum!
(pic via) In fact Feig's already got the dude who'd be opposite Chan - it's SNL newbie John Milhiser, seen above. I don't think we've seen much of Milhiser on the show yet, but he did that Jon Cryer impression during the Fifty Shades of Grey skit. Paul Feig is apparently a huge fan of his, and is the person who told Lorne Michaels about him. According to Feig:
I just checked, and Fandango isn't letting me buy my ticket for this yet. I'll keep checking every day until they are, and let you know. ETA And now Feig's saying that he was just tossing out the name of a dream actor for the role, and hasn't actually met with Tatum, or written a script, or anything yet. But maybe, eventually, maybe!

"It's premise is that a normal schmo gets involved with someone as crazy hot as the Sexiest Man of The Year, and basically can’t cope."
