If that poll I posted earlier with regards to James Dean's 80th wasn't enough Dean for you - and judging by the fact that he's a beloved icon fifty-five years after his death I'm guessing the Dean-need's mostly insatiable - then I've got another one for you! Head over to The Film Experience where I admit that... here goes... I've never actually sat down and watched any of his movies. I know, I know. The shame. I've never seen East of Eden or Rebel Without a Cause or Giant. Oh I've seen bits and pieces (does Paula Abdul's "Rush Rush" video count?) but none of them straight through. I'm cinematically fraudulent!So head on over to TFE where I'm letting y'all vote to tell me which one to watch this weekend. I will then watch it and review it next week. Rebel first because it's basically brokeback, Giant because hubba hubba with rock hudson even though its too long, and east of eden when you are way bored.
