I have no idea if these pictures have been around for ages or what, but I hadn't seen them before. These are two shots from Peter Weir's next film, The Way Back, starring Colin Farrell, Ed Harris, Jim Sturgess and Mark Strong. (via)
I previously posted about this movie, with its plot's details, right here. I was thinking about it anew just the other week as I watched Weir's 1977 film The Last Wave - which despite some haunting imagery (the hail storm in the middle of a sunny day in the desert that opens the film is chilling) I found increasingly tiresome as it went along - and wondering what the status on it is. It's still blankly listed as 2010 at IMDb though, so who knows. But Weir always takes his time with his films and they normally benefit from that so I will refrain from complaining. For now. Even though I'm really very enthusiastic about Farrell and Weir working together. Very.
