Quote of the Day

.
Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, the adorable Oscar-winning duo from Once - my second favorite movie of 2007 - have a 2nd album, Strict Joy, coming out on October 27th (I've listened to it a little bit and so far it sounds lovely; you can stream it here), so they're making the interview rounds. Their real-life boyfriend-girlfriend relationship ended earlier this year but they still enjoy making music together, they say in this bit from an interview at EW:

"EW: Do you still find it easy to work with each other, even after the breakup?

IRGLOVÁ: Yeah. I’ve always found it really pleasant to play with Glen. There’s something intuitive that goes on. That’s always been a very real connection between us, and I’m delighted it’s still there. Long may it last.

HANSARD: The crux of the whole thing is, we make good music together. I’ve always impressed her with a guitar in my hand. I just wasn’t as good in bed. No, I’m kidding."

I was really temped to edit out the "I'm kidding" there at the end because it's funnier without it, but I'll leave Glen his smidge of dignity this one time. You owe me, dude!
