I could be seeing Zombieland for free tonight - I won tickets at AICN and everything! - but realized that I probably ought to pack since I haven't yet for my flight at 9am tomorrow. Sigh. So no Zombieland for me. Not yet at least.
But yes that's right, I won't be around tomorrow (or the weekend, natch), because I'll be off having a grand ol' time (read: funeral). Whee! Anyway, I see that The House of the Devil, aka the movie with the trio of kick-ass posters (seen below), is now available on Video On Demand, so that is what I will be doing tonight. (Well, that and Fringe of course.)

Hopefully it will make for an agreeable movie to pack to. There's a very specific sort of movie that's good for packing - exciting so your energy stays up, loud so you know when you should be looking at the screen, and stupid enough that you don't have to always be looking at the screen to still be able to follow what's happening. This one might be a three-for-three winner, me hopes!
Anyway y'all have yourselves a terrific weekend, and use the comments here in this post to tell me what you think of Zombieland (no spoilers! I dunno when I'm gonna get to see it) or Paranormal Activity if it's in your area now, or A Serious Man or Whip it! or hell if you wanna proclaim Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs the greatest movie ever you can do that here too. Peace.

Saw the 3:05 show today and my nephew (12) and I were the only ones! Still loved the movie - he said it was the best ever! It was very, very Shaun of the Dead and had 3-5 jump-in-seat scenes.
Pandorum - was very frustrating. I could only understand about 50% of what was said because the dialog was drowned out by music and other sounds. 60,000 people, 200 years into the future and this guy doesn't speak English???? If emergency escape pods are airtight for space, wouldn't they also keep out water? I have to say the ending, which I kinda figured out, did tie things up well but the trip wasn't worth it - skip the theater and DVD, wait for cable.
Yeah...Zombieland was great stuff.
