And Speaking of Paranormal Activity...

... now that the film is really for real out as of today it's now got a new trailer up at the main site, this one without all that crowd-reaction stuff that'd plagued the earlier version. This one's just footage from the movie. And I thought it was a great trailer until the end where they show that shot again and I wish they wouldn't show that shot because mumble mumble as to not be spoilery but those of you who've seen the movie know what I mean. Anyway I took a couple of screen-grabs of Micah just cuz he's worth lookin' at.

Oh, if only they had ended on "that shot." And yeah, that's friggin' promotional malpractice on par with the What Lies Beneath trailer, the difference being that PA had more than one good scene to spoil.

Can't wait for the DVD--it'll be the "Fixing Missteps with the Remote Edition," two seconds shorter and ten times scarier.

Including THAT SHOT in the trailer galls me too.

If you haven't seen the movie the shot has no meaning and I think most people will have forgotten it before it arrives.

I remember Quarantine had a shot that was much like THAT SHOT. It kind of ruined the suspense at the end of it. I went into Paranormal Activity without having seen the trailer, just read about it on blogs so, I didn't see the shot until I saw the movie. Thank goodness.
