It seems like whenever the first chill of Fall comes around my thoughts always turn to Scudder (Rupert Graves) in Maurice. I wonder why that is? I guess it's my secret and buried desire to wear tweed and ride horses and have Rupert Graves climb through my window to ravage me at night. Yeah... secret and buried, that one.

Thirded.
Sigh.
HOW have I not seen this movie before? jeez
I don't know how, Wayne. FIX THAT.
Maurice is kinda slightly mandatory for all cinephilic gays.
I'd been out for a little over two years when this was released. Such romantic fantasies it unleashed.
Hadn't seen this movie until last week, now I'm obsessed over it. Jeepers, how I have I missed this gem all these years? All my gay friends know I'm an impossible romantic and this is certainly the movie for me. I hope a bluray version is in the plans. :)
At the time this movie came out, I fell in love and lust and hunger and yearning and worship with Rupert Graves. Thirty years later and I still think he's the most beautiful man in the world. Without question, my all-time ideal. It's great to know that others think of him with jaws agape also.
