100! Natzi! Scalps! And I Want My Scalps!

.

Yessirree today is the day, Inglourious Basterds can be seen by one and by all. I wanna hear what you thought! I'm not seeing it until Sunday so keep it as spoiler-less as possible though, please, I beg of you. I'm beggin'! I'm down on my knees! At least until then. Although I do already know the big thing that happens towards the end - purposefully trying to be vague for those who do not know - that was spoiled for me ages upon ages ago. When you see it I think you'll know what I mean. Anyway! Whee new Tarantino! Always an event worthy of a happy dance. Do a happy dance! Do it. I'm waiting.

I'm trying to be modest here, but I seriously think I have come up with the best description of the movie.

It's like an episode of 'Allo 'Allo! as directed by Quentin Tarantino.

No shit. And if that sounds amazing to you then you'll think the movie is amazing.

Pitt is worse in show, best in show are Waltz, Kruger, Laurent and Fassbender. Even Roth is entertaining. It definitely feels like a 2.5hr movie though. B+

Totally disagree. There wasn't a worst in show at all. (well maybe Mike Myers, but even he was decent)

And it did feel long, but I never at any point wanted it to hurry up.

This and Hurt Locker are my favs for 09 so far.

This movie was highly entertaining. A revisionists take on the end of WWII, the movie is not about killing Nazis. There is subtle nuisance in the piece.

Some of the dialogue scene ran way too long. Be prepared to read. That's all I'll say.

The performances were good, but Melanie Laurent and Christoph Waltz were great.

Truly incredible. Amazing performances, editing, cinematography. Nothing but respect for the viewer's attention and intelligence, but also enough entertainment value for the most cynical catharsis-craver. A magnificent achievement.

Terrible terrible, overlong, self-indulgent nonsense. One of the worst films I've seen this year. QT has definitely lost it. I could write a really long rant about this but I'll spare you.

It gets worse and worse the more I think about it.

Two good things, Melanie Laurent, smokes as only a french woman can. Christoph Waltz is really great. Sadly he's so good compared to the others and his performance so mannered (in a good way) it's like he's in a different film.
