I Am Link

.
--- Worthy Candidate - Sam Worthington is lining up another role for the post-Avatar world we'll live in next year - a remake of a Danish thriller called The Candidate. Really I only care so I can post another picture of him. I like to look.

--- Sham WoW - Maybe if I had any real familiarity with the World of Warcraft games I'd be more excited over the prospect of Sam Raimi having attached himself to the movie adaptation - maybe you've seen this news? It's only been on every single site known to mankind in the past couple of hours - but mostly I'm just sorta meh about it in reality. I don't know. To those of you who are familiar with the game - is this worth being excited about? I just want another Evil Dead movie really.

--- Ladies & Gents - Nat gives us the trailer for Jane Campion's Bright Star and talks up its awards worthiness... my ears perked up at the end with the shout-out to Paul Schneider, my love.

--- Hear Hear Huppert - I always take long breaks between visiting Sunset Gun so I'll have bunches to read at once, hence the lateness of this linkage, but way back in June Kim talked up Isabelle Huppert's astonishing performance in Michael Haneke's The Piano Teacher and it's well worth reading.

--- Island Getaway - Not really sure why there's been so much talk about Lost over at EW lately but I don't mind - with the long break until the show's back for its final season it's nice to be reminded of the good stuff. Doc Jensen's talking up the show's cult status today.

--- It's A Penis Countdown - In honor of Watchmen's DVD release yesterday Cinematical talked up the movies whose main contributions to their respective zeitgeisty conversations all had to do with the dicks contained therein.

--- And finally, if you wanna hear all about the two episodes of Dollhouse we haven't gotten to see yet - the original pilot episode and that mystical thirteenth episode, both of which will be on the DVDs out next week - then I suggest you read up over at A Blog Next Door where mB reviews them. There are spoilers. Me wanna see!!!

I haven't seen the unaired pilot, but I have seen Epitaph One, and even with a huge ass sound delay, it was fantastic. Best episode yet, IMO. And also the saddest and the scariest. But awesome!
