Mrs. Malfoy

I guess those rumors that this'd be Naomi Watts were just rumors. From DH:

"... British actress Helen McCrory will play Narcissa Malfoy in the upcoming film adaptation of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince".

Narcissa is sister of Bellatrix Lestrange (Helena Bonham Carter) and Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton). Interestingly enough, McCrory was originally cast as Bellatrix Lestrange in this year's "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" but had to pull out due to an impending pregnancy.

McCrory is an acclaimed stage, screen and film actress who's works include such films as "Interview with a Vampire," "Charlotte Gray," "The Count of Monte Cristo," and "Casanova".

She was last seen playing Cherie Blair, wife of British Prime Minister Tony Blair, in last year's much-lauded "The Queen"..."

I remember liking McCrory as Mrs. Blair. I can't say I'm not disappointed they're not shoe-horning Naomi Watts into the series - she really is who I had in my mind's eye while reading the books - but I've got nothing against McCrory so we shall see. She is awfully dark in her coloring for the flaxen Malfoy clan, though. I guess that's what wigs are for!

I always saw Narcissa as Kristen Scott Thomas. I think with characters like 'Cissa and Tonks, for example, we get less notable "names" because the parts have to be cut down for the adaptation. Unfortunately.

It's so obvious that I don't know why we didn't predict it. She was originally Bellatrix so why not dye her hair and make her Narcissa?
