Three Ladies-I-Love are celebrating their birthdays today!
Firstly, today is the 36th birthday of that emblem of decorum, International Crazy Lady Bai Ling. It's been awhile since I've posted anything Bai Ling-related, but go here for all the love I have poured forth towards this gem of a human being. She brings me so much joy I can barely contain it. Happy Birthday, Bai Ling! May you find yourself face-first in a dumpster with your zebra-patterned stockings on your head tomorrow morning! (see, that's how she knows she's had a fun night...)
Secondly, a very happy 43rd birthday to Mrs. David Mamet, the wonderful Rebecca Pidgeon, of whom, for some reason, I've gotten the impression in the past that a lot of people dislike her, but she's forever endeared herself to me with her portrayal of Susan in The Spanish Prisoner ("Well dog my cats."). Yes, dog my cats, indeed. The last I've seen of her she was posting tracks from her album over at The Huffington Post, but IMDb shows she's been doing TV work (yes, mostly on her husband's show...).
And lastly but hardly leastly, a very happy 45th birthday to the sweetly funny Julia Sweeney, whose best work has been on the stage doing one woman shows post-that SNL "It's Pat" debacle. Her shows about her ordeals with cancer and religion have been both hysterical and poignant and I always look forward to seeing her work. Seriously, though, rent God Said "Ha!", it's soooo good.
