For some reason I never got around to posting a proper "Rest in Peace" when the great French actress Edith Scob died back in June, so I'll use the excuse of what would've been her 82nd birthday to do that -- she worked plenty after making Holy Motors with Leos Carax all the way back in 2012 (I can't believe that movie's seven years old already -- it remains timeless) but the film, with its mournful final act, feels like a fine epitaph with its strange tendrils wound back to her beginnings.
