So I'll never catch up with all the news that transpired whilst away, but here are a couple new-to-maybe-sorta-old things that are catching my eyes this morning...
--- Creeptastic - this
new pic at BD (above) from Michael Dougherty's all-hallows-opus
Trick'r'Treat is creeping me the freak out. This thing looks more wonderful with every new bit of info we get.
--- Where I rambled, they made sense - my opinion, which I laid out with
excrutiating randomness yesterday, on
Hostel: Part II, falls somewhere between the unhappiness
expressed by my pal Sean and
the reserved rhapsodizing of Rich at FourFour. I wasn't as dissatisfied as Sean was, and I appreciated some of the stuff Rich did, but all that does is land me deep in "mediocre" territory.
--- Giving you the trailers that matter - Glenn posted two of 'em at
Stale Popcorn in the past week - namely,
the trailer for Greg McLean's oft-delayed (and
oft-discussed by me) mad-croc-thriller,
Rogue, and
the really fantastic, in my opinion, trailer for genius Paul T. Anderson's next flick,
There Will Be Blood.
--- The Prom King Confessions - Patrick Wilson waffles his way around answering whether he's been cast already in
Watchmen as
Nite Owl in
an interview at Coming Soon, but basically gives a big silent thumbs up to the news.
--- Last week's Horror Roundtable - which I missed, being away and all - is
up at The Horror Blog, and my fellow horror-fanatics answered the question, "Name your favorite Horror Sequel." I'm disgusted with myself that
Gremlins 2 popped into my head before
Dawn of the Dead did. WTF is wrong with me? Anyway,
check out everyone else's sane answers and ignore my nonsense.
