The military action thriller called Land of Bad is out in theaters today -- now as you might know, "military action thrillers" aren't usually my cuppa. But when one stars Liam Hemsworth, Ricky Whittle, and Milo Ventimiglia, I make exceptions. Especially when the boys just couldn't stop sharing photos of themselves half naked and bro-ing out together on set -- see here and here. That tends to catch my attention. Anyway I'm not writing a proper review of this movie but I will tell you that it actually surprised me -- it's totally solid? I get a lot of emails about these kinds of movies and they almost always look cheap and generic but Land of Bad does not -- the action scenes feel big and thrilling and well-choreographed and staged and I was 100% wrapped up in the movie's drama? Much to my surprise. I really genuinely thought I was just watching it for the beefcake -- and sidenote Liam spends the entire last half an hour or so of this movie in only boxers and so it delivers on that front too. There miiiight be some problematic stuff going on with its politics, but I wasn't allowing myself to think too hard about the movie -- I just took the ride, and I enjoyed it, brain shut off. Here is the trailer if you wanna give it a further chance.

Liam of Bad
I've posted previously about the upcoming action-thriller called Land of Bad because it stars Liam Hemsworth and Ricky Whittle (this morning's grautity) and Milo Ventimiglia amongst others and because the boys were posting lots of beefcakey photos from the set. Anyway according to the new promotional images from the film itself (via) seen here it seems the beefcake will be making it onto the screen too, which is heartening to know. Sometimes you see all these hunky set photos and then everybody's buttoned up the entire movie and you're like, "Why were y'alkl even in that kind of shape then? Just eat a damn cheeseburger." But not this time! We can all be glad they starved themselves now! Anyway I guess this movie is out here in the U.S. in about a month so I guess we don't have to wait too long. Be still, loins! Hit the jump for more hunky photos and the trailer...

Good Afternoon, World
Heyyy everybody -- forgot I had a screening this morning so I'm just now sitting down to my desk for the day! There is a gif of a soaking wet bestached Milo Ventimiglia (see more here) to make up for my brief absence! I am sure you've forgotten all about it now! Or me! Or to breathe! Oh hey you should probably breathe. Medic! Damn we lost another one. That Milo, he's a menace.

Good Morning, World
A happy belated 33 (aka the Jesus Year) to Liam Hemsworth! I have been better about keeping tabs on his upcoming movie Land of Bad on Twitter (see here) than I have here on the site (see here), so let's make up for that now. I don't know if he ever wears that mustache seen above in the film (the first promotional image from it has him sans stache) but that video was taken on the set of the movie, so maybe it shows up at some point in the film. Or maybe him and his co-stars Ricky Whittle and Milo Ventimiglia were just doing some role-play in the film's make-up trailer. Whatever the case I dig it.

Good Morning, World
.
I've been thinking about Sterling K. Brown all week since I posted the trailer for Waves, his movie with Krisha director Trey Edward Schults that got some raves out of the fests -- so what better time to post some Sterling K. Brown, ehh? (If I seem to be implying that there's a not good time to do such things... no.)
These shots are of course from his great big hit show This is Us, which also co-stars a naked Milo Ventimiglia -- it would take several teams of frothing at the mouth wild horses to drag me even into the vicinity of watching this cornball program but I appreciate they're serving up some beef alongside all that cheese.

Good Morning, World
.
A happy 42 to Milo Ventimiglia today, who's proven himself several times over excellent at choosing television projects that will catch on with the general public -- out of all the hit shows he's been a part of I personally only liked Heroes, and that for only about half its run (and yes that includes Gilmore Girls, which I found fairly irritating), but you have to figure dude's pretty set for ten lives over at this point with his resume o' residuals. Good on ya, Milo. (These gifs are from something called The Whispers in 2015 which was, uhh, apparently one of the missteps along the road. Just guessing since I never heard of it until right now)

Good Morning, World

I probably should've saved this for Wednesday when I will be spending the entire morning getting my annual physical, but holding off from making these gifs for another few days when this scene is already a week old seems unnecessarily cruel - of course it's not like Milo Ventimiglia and his tighty-whities are going anywhere. I mean (spoiler alert?) didn't they kill his character on This Is Us? I don't watch the show (good god it is not for me) but it's kind of impossible to live in 2018 and not know they killed his character. And yet here he is? Whatever, as long as he's in his underpants I'm not going to question their story-telling. You do you, This Is Us.

Milo Ventimiglia Eight Times
.
No offense to anyone who makes the show or likes the show but This Is Us has begun to look like literal poison to my brain so I don't watch it. (But yeah, no offense.) But it has given us Milo Ventimigla with a mustache, and for that we should all be grateful. Milo-stache is rocking the pages of this month's Esquire, you can read his chat right here - besides the photo-shoot there are also some fun photo-shoot gifs shared too, and you can see all that after the jump...

Do Dump or Marry: W Men
.
W Magazine has a super hot gallery of photographs of actors steaming up our TV screens in its latest issue that Alasdair McLellan shot, and I grabbed my three favorites - Homeland's Rupert Friend above and The Night Of's Riz Ahmed + Big Little Lies' Alexander Skarsgard below, but there are more over at their site worth checking out (Milo Ventimiglia and James Franco and I don't know who Johnny Flynn is but I want to now) and that's not even mentioning the ladies, so check out the entire shebang here. Anyway since I picked three let's Do Dump or Marry them in the comments!

Justin Hartley Nine Times
.
I made it through about ten minutes of This is Us before passing out from schmaltz-shock, but I understand it is quite popular, and it gave us more of Milo Ventimiglia's Big Ass so I hold nothing against it. (Insert comment about how I would totally hold something against Milo Ventimiglai's Big Ass though here.) Anyway I've always kind of liked Justin Hartley (found him charming, I mean) ever since he was in Spring Breakdown, but as I said recently...
.
Just found out my Mom has the hots for Justin Hartley pic.twitter.com/UKBTSRdheb— Jason Adams (@JAMNPP) February 6, 2017
... so that's held me back from being able to ogle him too much. It feels weird. I've never been able to ogle the same dudes my Mom ogles. Much to Richard Dean Anderson's chagrin! But I know y'all aren't held back by the same weird mind-games that I am so here enjoy the rest of this photo-shoot (via, thx Mac) after the jump...

Milo Ventimiglia Six Times
.
No offense to my mother but when I was talking to her on the phone the other night she told me how much she was liking the TV show This is Us and that's when I knew I would not like the TV show This is Us. I mean I had suspected as much - I had heard that they hadn't gotten Milo naked again after the premiere showcased his butt to much fanfare - but this pretty much cements the deal. What was funniest about this conversation with my mother though was I found out she is a HUGE Justin Hartley fan, which, well, who knew such things existed? I guess there's one!
As a Milo-related aside, here's a video of him kissing Jared Padalecki that is kind of adorable. Okay anyway these photographs are from the latest issue of Interview Magazine (yes the same one with sexy trashy Adam Driver splashed all over it) and if you hit the jump I will share the remaining five stache-ariffic shots...

Tie Milo Up, Tie Milo Down
.
I guess today's the day for trailers with shirtless fellas - we just saw Chris Hemsworth half-stripped for Blackhat, and now here we've got both Jason Statham and Milo Ventimiglia selling their wares in the trailer for Wild Card, which is the latest in a long long line of, uh, Jason Statham movies.
Yes that's a presumably naked Milo tied up with a woman threatening what we can only presume is, behind that strategically lifted bathrobe, his business with a gigantic pair of scissors.
It's fun for the whole family!
Here's the trailer:

I Am Link
.
--- Full Sensation - When they released the loooong list of names of people who were are going to be in the Wachowskis new show for Netflix last week my eyes must have rolled back into my head before I got to the end because I totally missed that my favorite new Almodovar piece of meat was up in there - Miguel Ángel Silvestre (who has maybe dropped the Ángel?) will be part of the enormous cast for Sense8, which sounds like it will be Joss Whedon's consciousness-linked flick In Your Eyes multiplied by eight.
---
Ferry Man - Last week we heard that Wong Kar-wai is working on a new movie already,
which he will film next year, but we didn't know anything about it
(other than it will apparently star one of China's sexiest men, who's so
far unnamed) - now we've got some information
on the source of the movie at least, and its story. It's coming from an
apparently super-popular-n-China collection of short stories called I Belonged To You, and will focus on one story called "Ferryman" about an affair between a girl and a married artist.
--- No Hero For You - A couple of months ago it was announced that NBC was reviving its show Heroes for a mini-event type-thing like just got done with 24 on Fox (side-note: I haven't watched any of the latter yet; should I bother? i watched 24 sporadically but never really missed it that much) - now comes word that Milo Ventimiglia and his gravity-defying butt will not be a part of it. What about Adrian Pasdar and his gravity-defying butt, will they at least give us that?
--- Helter Skelter - David Duchovny is making a thirteen-episode series (brief series being all the rage right now) about the cops who were tracking Charles Manson, and Games of Thrones' gay king slash shaving-enthusiast Gethin Anthony is playing the crazy cult leader himself.
--- Lost Stoker - If you wanna know how to make me lose my effing mind in five seconds flat tell me that the studio forced Park Chan-wook to cut twenty minutes from Stoker - what what what??? That's what Snowpiercer director Bong Joon-ho says in this interview where he's talking about his own well-documented problems with Harvey Weinstein and sure enough, mind lost. Get me a director's cut right now dammit!
--- Secret Guardian - This is one of those times when I dislike the internet's big mouth (and yet here I am contributing to it) - word's leaked on a small cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy by one of our favorite actors; only click over if you don't give a shit about knowing, I guess. I wish I'd have been able to be surprised in the theater by it, myself.
--- The Boy Bird - I love the idea of Daniel Radcliffe playing Robin opposite Ben Affleck in the new Batman stuff! And then he could kill Ben Affleck and star in Robin movies (they could just make it a Batman Beyond movie, or whatever) and we'd all be so much better off.
--- Death Becomes Him - TV Line did a very Ways Not To Die thing with Bryan Fuller this week, getting him to say a little about some of the best death scenes from his death-soaked works, from Dead Like Me to Pushing Daisies to Hannibal. Once upon a time MNPP got Bryan to talk about several of those Daisies deaths, which you can see right here. Those were fun! (thanks Mac)
--- Stop Drop & Tucker - Speaking of Bryan Fuller stuff, this news is CRAZY old (it's from last August) but it totally bypassed me that sexy beast Jonathan Tucker (who recently got nearly naked on Hannibal) was cast in High Moon, Bryan's science-fiction series for SyFy. I only caught onto it thanks to Tucker's Instagram account where he posted a video of him dancing in some sort of genie garb - I think they might be filming that pilot right now? Anyway the first thing I expected to see from this show was definitely NOT that, so once again I think we can expect something surprising from Bryan coming our way.
--- And Finally I was so over-worked when it came time to write up my thoughts about Ira Sachs' glorious Love is Strange after Tribeca that I didn't do the movie justice at all, but you should know to see it, see it, see it - it's a great movie; it will probably be one of the year's best. It's out at the end of August, and we just got the first trailer, watch it here.

Do Dump or Marry - 3 Chosen 1s
.
Have you guys heard of this series called Chosen? Or rather, excuse me, Ch:os:en...? Punctuation at red alert! Anyway it's an exclusive to Crackle, which I totally downloaded on my iPad one time but have never opened before. It's like a free movie streaming service, right? Anyway that's not why we're here - we're here because Chosen (I am not typing that godforsaken punctuation again) apparently stars Milo Ventimiglia, Brandon Routh and Chad Michael Murray. And in related news, Chad Michael Murray apparently still exists. Wait wait step back, he has a beard now, I have to set aside my snark. Beards kill snark dontcha know.
.
.
.
Anyway part two I actually saw that there trailer for the new season of the show (yes, there's already been one season, I guess) the other day but it didn't have any of the guys making out so I forgot about it, until just now, seeing that picture of them together. And it's been awhile since we've done a Do Dump or Marry, so let's!
Alright judge all you want but that homeless "suck your dick for a large order of french fries" look on CMM is totally working for me. I smell romance! Romance, and patchouli. Alright so you know the drill, hit the comments, which would you do, which would you dump, and which would you marry?

Happy 36, Milo Ventimiglia
.
I always forget that Milo's exactly one week older than me. Anyway I don't really understand the current state of Milo's career - playing assholes in Adam Sandler comedies - but then anything having to do with Adam Sandler comedies boggles my mind. Their continued success, the fact that I saw that Maya Rudolph is in his latest - that latter point totally threw me for a loop when I saw her in a commercial yesterday, which I still haven't recovered from. I know she's trying to have her own singular career and all and I adore her and want that too but when you're with Paul Thomas Anderson you are allowed to say NO sometimes, Maya! Anyway I suppose Milo's making due with what he's got...
... and for that I thank him. (more here)

Good Morning, World
.
It's the 48th birthday of Adrian Pasdar, who gets continued happy birthday wishes from me on the strength of his incesty vibe with Milo Ventimiglia on Heroes and for Near Dark, even though he seems to have graduated to doing voice-over work at this point in his career. Oh, and also for having a spectacular bum. That helps. Keeps the memory fresh. And hey look below it's a picture of him standing in front of book-shelves in just a towel! We know how that does it for me. See more of him here and here.
