How did y'all spend your long weekend? if your answer is "staring this photo of Charlie Cox and shrieking about it on social media over and over again" then you might be me. And that'd be weird! Anyway I'm sure I've posted hotter pictures here on MNPP in our 20 plus year history but I am having trouble thinking of one right now -- Charlie went and broke me, my brain, my everything, this holiday weekend. So good work, my man, cuz my brain needed breaking honestly. But doesn't it seem like he should Charlie doing some sexy roles right now that are taking advantage of this physical peak tremndousness though? One shirtless (and waxed, the criminality) scene per Daredevil season is not cutting it. Get this man in an erotic thriller stat. Preferably a very gay one. I know you've got it in ya, Chuck. And speaking of having things in you (heh), here I am. Back. Yippee. Let's get the new week to going, then. Hope everyone had a nice long weekend! I hope you were hot and smiling like Charlie here; that is what I wish for you.

Today's Fanboy Delusion
Today I'd rather be...
... giving Charlie Cox healthy bones.
Milk does a body good, baby! It also does a Cox good.
Okay enough slutty tomfoolery.
Here's the context, if you must.

Double Oh Arty
I just happened to be looking at that picture of Daredevil villain and Downton fop Arty Froushan this morning -- "just happened" -- and it struck me: why not Arty for James Bond? He was born in the U.S. but was raised by his British mother in London -- they want someone younger and he's only 33. We need to be putting Arty's name (and everything else) into the conversation! They just started officially casting last week (although I have my doubts that they haven't been having conversations with actors and their own team at Amazon behind the scenes for months) and who knows where they're going with the franchise but I think all roads should lead to Arty. I have just decided it right now. Nothing else will make me happy. And you won't like me when I'm angry, Jeff Bezos! (Also fuck you, Jeff Bezos.) Anyway 007 or not I have now posted that photo above so my mission is accomplished. (Ooh an Ethan Hunt reboot! I know who'd be perfect for that!)

Good Morning, World
I am just going to assume that most of you who care about such things already saw the photos of Finn Jones here on the set of the next season of Daredevil Born Again, meaning a controversial return for him to the Iron Fist character -- those give me some sort of reason to be talking about Finn Jones at all, who I haven't seen in anything since then. I'll be damned though if he doesn't look perhaps the best he's ever looked in these new photos here though, so good on ya, Finn. I never watched Iron Fist, I only knew him via the group-up series The Defenders (plus his gay bit on Game of Thrones of course) and he left little impression on me (with Charlie Cox and Mike Colter standing there who stood a chance) but I am willing and open to what ya got to bring now, Finn. Anyway! Happy Monday! I have a busy day ahead so it might be a little quiet. We shall see.

Wilson Bethel Nine Times
Wilson Bethel has always given off big Michael Biehn energy -- I do believe the very first time I posted about him was when they were casting the role that Biehn played in the Terminator franchise (for the forgettable movie that became Genisys) -- but I think the mustache that the Daredevil actor is sporting in this new photoshoot for Schön! magazine is ratcheting the Biehn-ness up to a whole 'nother level. Maybe it's just that I rewatched The Abyss recently...
... but it's all I can see!
Well that and Wilson on the new Daredevil episode...
... that is. That's all I can see. And maybe that's just due to the fact that I haven't even watched the new episode of Daredevil yet -- I've just watched the clip of Wilson half-naked in it (thx Mac). I'll watch the new episode in full tonight. So maybe that explains why his shirtlessness is all I can picture from the episode? Wow -- that's called "enlightenment," folks. And I'm positively stuffed up the ass with it. Ugh I am in a weird mood today y'all. Ignore me. Or even better just hit the jump for the photos of Wilson giving off all the BBE he can muster...

Arty Froushan Twenty-One Times
I think I know my audience. And my audience consists of the kind of people who are screaming "Make out!" at Arty Froushan and Charlie Cox whenever their characters share the screen on Daredevil: Born Again. I know all of this because it's exactly like that old T.V. commercial for the Hair Club For Men -- I'm not just the President of the "Screaming 'Make out!' at Arty Froushan and Charlie Cox whenever their characters share the screen on Daredevil: Born Again" Club, I am also very much a member. King of the members!
Anyway with the triple hit on my sensibilities that Arty's landed this past year -- a faggy fop in the last Downton movie, a terrifying sociopath on Daredevil, and Patrick f'ing Bateman in my beloved American Psycho: The Musical (unfortunately only in the U.K., so far) -- it's no surprise I'm quickly finding myself entrenched in the obsessed camp. And these exrtemely cheerful and adorkable photos (very Pushing Daisies!) for Bean Magazine are only cementing that. You can read the interview at that last link, but if you just want to get oglin' you can hit the jump...

Good Morning, World
Considering how much posting I did when Benjamin Walker starred in the American Psycho musical on Broadway (to date the only time I've gone to see a Broadway show three times!) you'd think I'd have posted about Daredevil and Downton Abbey actor Arty Froushan's run by now -- I guess since it was in the U.K I will cut myself some slack, but still. Every time Arty has popped up on this season of Daredevil I felt a twinge -- well okay several competing twinges -- that I didn't get to see him give us his Patrick Bateman best on stage. SIGH. That show has now ended its run but -- and I can't believe I haven't posted about this news yet either! -- it will be staged here in New York again in 2027! It's not going to Broadway -- it's happening at some venue in Brooklyn that I am unfamiliar with but that thrills me because I can hopefully afford to go see it repeatedly again then! I have my doubts that the U.K. cast will carry over, but they can feel free to prove me wrong! I'd love to see Arty in the (bloodied) flesh. Anyway I've only posted about Arty a couple of times here on the site (see here) but I will hopefully get lots more chances to revisit the subject of him -- and he was kind enough to share some swoon-worthy behind-the-scenes photos from the show on his Instagram, which I in turn have thoughtfully curated for you (with some bonus shots because duh) after the jump...

Good Morning, World
This is probably a story for another day but when I was a little kid my mother stole money from her job so we could have our own place after my parents split up. I only bring this up, as a throwaway anecdote no less, because I too am a criminal who does my criminal things for the right reasons -- this trait runs in the family! Because I promised you people I would have these Charlie Cox gifs for you this morning, but due to a disastrous commute and several other irritating factors that kept me running behind this morning I just went ahead and stole these gifs off of some Tumblr instead of making them my own self. Please, understand my good intentions as I have come to understand my mother! (I am so lucky my poor mother doesn't read this site lol.) Anyway I did get around to watching the third episode of Daredevil last night and as I said on Bluesky I watched this scene three times without ever hearing a single damn word that was being spoken during it any one of those times. You remember how early on Game of Thrones became infamous for using "sexposition" to impart important information whilst furious boinking was happening on-screen? Yeah in this case it very much backfired -- my mind completely shut down in the presence of Charlie's waxen godliness. But I enjoyed watching the scene three times anyway! Hit the jump for all the rest of some other kind person's gifs...

Good Morning, World
I promised y'all yesterday when I posted that scorching and ginormous (seriously did you click on it? It gets real big) still photo of this scene from last night's Daredevil that I would bust out my gif-machine to gif the scene... and I am half keeping my promise. Because I made the above gif! And that's the true money shot in the scene. But I could and should make more but they're going to have to wait until I actually watch the episode tonight -- see I didn't realize they were dropping TWO episodes last night and my fragile self couldn't possibly stay up late enough to watch both. I'm no longer a frisky Freshmen, apple-cheeked and amazed at the world! In case you didn't notice that. Like, twenty-years-ago I wasn't that anymore. Anyway enjoy that gif and we'll just make it a week o' Cox -- who can argue with that?

Pic of the Day
Well Disney definitely knows who they're courting with tonight's new episode of Daredevil! They released a handful of new images from the second episode today and uhh obviously we're fixated on this one of Charlie Cox here -- I really can't imagine why. If you care about the others, none of which feature a half-naked Charlie Cox, you can see them at this link, but why bother? You're sold, right? You're already sold. So just sit and stare at this one until the new episode is on. And I guess I should boot up the old gif-maker for tomorrow...

I Think I'll Go For a (Spider) Walk Outside Now
Even though I'm as ever superhero agnostic I'll always share a trailer for a Spider-Man movie --everybody loves Spier-Man and I am not immune to this. Not when they keep finding adorable twinks to fill out the skin-tight spandex and yes, Tom Holland is somehow still falling, against all odds of age, under that metric. Plus it's fun to see Jon Bernthal's sexy-ass Punisher from Daredevil showing up to order him around (and by "fun" I mean "deeply erotic" obviously) -- and speaking of Daredevil, is this him:
I'd love Charlie Cox to come along for the ride! (And feel free to impose all the filthy puns into that phrase as you see fit.) That said this teaser is... a little underwhelming. He's fighting ninjas? Okay. If you say so. Watch:
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is out on July 31st.

The Cox Clock is Ticking!
I had no idea, absolutely none, until this very minute that the second season of Daredevil: Born Again is coming out in 11 days. ELEVEN DAYS??? WTF! Of course it would be Charlie Cox's beautiful body that grabbed my attention long enough to get me grasping... this fact. The shot above is taken from a just-dropped teaser for the show's return, which I will share below. Eleven days! Oh my god my body is not ready. In all seriousness Daredevil on Netflix and then it's new iteration on Disney+ is by leaps and bounds the best running Marvel show so I am genuinely excited, and not just because you know, abs. But abs don't hurt!
In related news I started watching Wonder Man last night and it's very funny! I am enjoying it. Any other fans? I've only watched three episodes so far but it's been a treat. We do love us some Yahya...

Charlie Cox Says Woof
Well shame on me for not keeping up with the Cox! I had no idea that Charlie had a new movie out today! (Alternately -- shame on Amazon and every streaming service for being so so very bad at advertising their wares. Especially to the very people who would be the loudest noisemakers about it!) It's called Merv and it's a rom-com about a seperated couple (the other half of said couple being played by Zooey Deschanel) who take their depressed dog on vacation only to fall back in love. And yes I kind of threw up in my mouth a little while writing out that plot, but y'all...
... Charlie let his body hair grow back so who gives a flying fuck what this movie is about?!?!? Not I! It's been so long -- dastardly Daredevil has kept his fleece fully defrocked for too long! We need cause to celebrate in the fall of 2025, every opportunity we can seize onto, and this is a wondrous one! So hit the jump for several more gifs and stills of our good good boy, if you please...

Good Morning, World
An itty bitty gift to us Charlie Cox lovers on this week's episode of Daredevil Reborn -- itty bitty indeed since we barely see Charlie from the shoulders down. But why show a beautiful man undressed when you can luxuriate in extremely gory fight scenes instead? And being a lover of gore I normally wouldn't bring up that old (but not baseless!) "Sex vs Violence in American Entertainment" argument, but since this is Disney we're talking about now (instead of Daredevil's old home of Netflix) and they seem to've embraced Daredevil's violence to a surprisingly notable degree, I do feel this warrants a mention.
Not that there isn't real heat between Charlie and Margarita Levieva when she sneaks into this shower with him moments after these gifs. The two actors have pretty scorching chemistry. Let's just be honest -- I just wanna see Charlie's butt dammit. I don't think that's too much to ask when I'm also being treated to a serial killer's lair where a bunch of dead women's bodies are hanging from meat hooks. Remind us what we're fighting for! All of the good in the world! In this instance represented by Charlie Cox's butt! Okay I'll step down off my soapbox. Unless you need some extra lather, Charlie...

The Way To My Heart is With Cox
It's Friday! Thank Cox. I hate how hard I wish weeks by these days, given the amount of weeks I have less in my life... well it feels like the hourglass is fatter on the bottom now. But the world's just too much of a disaster and I need my two days of shutdown more than ever. And just think -- it's only 80 days until Memorial Day and then I get my three-day weekends again! Yippee! And then after that it's practically 2028 and we'll have a new President. Well, probably. Ugh and with that my stomach dropped -- see why I just need to be offline and on the floor for two full days??
Glad I don't have to review MICKEY 17 because it's like ten movies at once and only half of them are working but it's also really fun at times (I LOVE THE CREEPERS SO MUCH) and there is this shot of Robert Pattinson's ass that is absolutely to die for so consider yourself somewhat educated

Aaaaaanyway there are two count 'em two movies of note out this weekend -- one is Bong Joon-ho's Mickey 17 which I wrote the world's briefest review of above. It probably deserves more effort than that but... see everything I said at the start pof this post. I'm fucking spent, man. The other movie out this weekend is the horror film The Rule of Jenny Pen and I actually wrote a proper review of that one! But [insert 'womp womp' sound effect here] it's not going up onto Pajiba until tomorrow I believe. So you'll have to wait 24 hours for those thoughts. Will the wait be worth it? Probably not! I have nothing interesting to say! And that's why now I'm going home to collapse. Goodbye!
