If you follow actor (and let's just drop "genius" at this point) Richard Gadd on Instagram then you know he's been unloading reams of behind-the-scenes photos from the set of his second stunning series in a row Half Man for the pasts everal weeks, all of which has been a joy to this person who 1) loved Half Man very very much, and 2) loves staring at Richard Gadd and Jamie Bell. Anyway I could have shared many shots previously (and actually did share a couple; see some very good ones here too) but this morning I am sharing these shots of the boys rolling around shirtless and kilt a'flappin' because duh. It's such a crime that Jamie Bell didn't get an Emmy nomination, urgh! Why must he go conitinually underappreciated??? Speaking of geniuses. And sexy geniuses at that -- the best kind!Anyway go watch Half Man, you owe it to yourself. It's brilliant. Even better and thornier than Baby Reindeer, I believe!

No comments, lads? This is one of the best, groundbreaking series to be released in the 21st century. So many of you complained about the violence - physical and mental (of which there is a lot), - ("Ooh, too much for me") - but yet you revel in the latest slasher flicks. Grow a pair and watch an emotionally overwhelming work of art with two of the greatest performances in television history (four, actually).
And yes: it is beyond rationality that Jamie Bell was not nominated for the Best Actor Emmy, and Gadd for Best Supporting Actor. It also should have been nominated for Best Limited series (whatever) and writing and direction.
Yes, it's a difficult watch, but well worth every bloody second. I've already watched it all about four times, and went so far as to download it and burned it to two DVDs with 5,1 audio and subtitles in two languages, and made my own cover art.
The constant quiet in these comments about the series from its inception has been unforgivable. Skip your screening of "Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma" and binge-watch the best six hours of original programming to appear in decades.
