More Sense8 Gay Pride Orgy Stuff

.
How's that for a headline? Anyway when I posted those pictures this morning I felt as if everything had already been disseminated (heh) over the weekend and it was easier to just link outwards, but just now I stumbled upon a few (via) I hadn't seen anywhere else...

... that are plenty worth looking at, so here we are.
(I mean, Miguel's gay little panties alone...)
And if you hit the jump I'll give you a few more...

Pic of the Day

.
Just shows to go ya that you should never surrender - when I saw it was the anniversary of Rainer Werner Fassbinder's birthday today (he was born 72 years ago) I thought to myself, "Oh posh, I don't know what to do. And surely I've posted all the pictures from behind the scenes Querelle by now." Well I thunk them thoughts too soon -- that there picture is one I have never seen before. That's Rainer showing Brad Davis how to put the loving on the actor Hanno Pöschl (as if Brad needed assistance in the man-love department). You can click it to embiggen. Rainer knew what the job of director was all about, people. (Groping your actors - that's what.)

Everything You Ever Need To Know About Life...

... you can learn from:

The Ruins (2008)

Jeff: They don't want us to spread it. That's why they won't let us leave. They're salting the soil to keep it contained. It's old. It has to be really old because the birds, the insects... and now, they've learned not to land here.

I have been really meaning to re-watch The Ruins - Carter Smith's fantastic horror gem that should definitely not be spoken of as little as it seems to be spoken of these days - so maybe I should take advantage of it being Jonathan Tucker's birthday today and do so tonight. It's great! So maybe I just will...

And a happy birthday to Mr. Tucker -
I hope you've washed the stink of me off by now, good sir.
And nobody forget Kingdom's back tomorrow!

Putting the Big in A Bigger Splash

.
One week ago today I shared some still NSFW snaps from Luca Guadagnino's terrific and terrifically sexy film A Bigger Splash - which just hit home video in Italy, even as it's still in theaters here in the US - and I said once I was able I'd offer up gifs from the movie too. Well I am now able... and oh boy am I willing. To see our big Belgian boy Matthias Schoenaerts in all his gorgeous NSFW glory, go on and hit the jump...

Breaking the J-Law

.
I think we're maybe at the tipping point where we're supposed to say we're sick of Jennifer Lawrence, as a culture, (along with her pal Amy Schumer) but I'm not quite there yet. Fuck you fickle folks! So I've devoted this week's "Beauty vs Beast" over at The Film Experience to her and her alone. Even if she was very clearly bored out of her mind in the new X-Men movie I still like her well enough.
.

Timothée Chalamet Five Times

.
I don't think that MNPP will become 100% posts about this movie, but who knows, the way things are going -- earlier today I shared a couple of shots from behind-the-scenes of Call Me By Your Name, Luca Guadagnino's upcoming movie starring Armie Hammer & the young man you see before you as summertime Italian lovers. And now I feel the need to introduce us better to Mr. Chalamet, who did this photo-shoot for W Magazine earlier this month. So hit the jump for a few more shots of Armie's future very good friend...

Today's Fanboy Delusion

Today I'd rather be...

... celebrating Pride with the Sense8 cast.

Brian J Smith and Max Reimelt making out on a float at the Brazil Gay Pride celebration this weekend wasn't even the MOST of it -- click over here to see a better round-up of all the cast's shenanigans. They put the horniness of their show front middle and center.

So much so that I don't even know where to begin. Max and Brian and Miguel and Alfonso and everybody else was basically reenacting the first season's orgy sequence, just in public, for real.

Good grief, this show will be the death of me.

Five Frames From ?

What movie is this?

Armie Takes Italy

.
Last week I told you about Call Me By Your Name, I Am Love and A Bigger Splash director Luca Guadagnino's adaptation of Andre Aciman's book which will find Armie Hammer romancing Timothee Chalumet as they summer together in Italy. The film came out of nowhere and was shooting before anybody even knew it was happening - I still don't think it's been officially announced. Anyway as far as I know they're still shooting because as you can see from these pictures Armie & Timothee are still posting pictures on Instagram in Italy. (Although that shot up top is from here.)

Anyway I flew through the book over the long weekend and you'd better believe you'll be hearing every detail I can scrounge up on this project as it progresses because I adored the book from front to back. It brought me back to the first time I fell in love/lust like a lightning bolt. Anyway below is a picture that Armie took of Timothee (he's on the left) in a church in the region where they are filming -- this movie's gonna make me swoon right onto the floor, I tell ya what.

Good Morning, World

.
Welcome back from that little four-day vacation that wasn't, everyone -- here let us get back into the grind of things with Colin Farrell in Tigerland, shall we? It's Colin's 40th birthday today, and he's looking as good as ever and also coming off of one of his greatest successes - not only is The Lobster the best movie of the year so far says me, it's doing dynamite business as far as very weird little art-house movies go. Congrats, Colin! We couldn't be happier that you're working with director Yorgos Lanthimos a second time. Anyway if you want to look back to the moment we fell for Colin, look no further than all the pictures of him in Tigerland that we have posted in the past - they are many.

Summer Fun is Here To Stay

.
I think I've probably posted these photos from Ye Olde Entertainmente Weekley about a dozen times by now, but I sure haven't gotten tired of looking at 'em and I assume you ain't neither. (Double negatives don't make nothing truer.) Anyway it turns out I've got an extra bonus day of vacation this holiday weekend after all, so we won't be here to soothe your boredom again until Tuesday, meaning this is my way of wishing you a Happy Memorial Day. It was either this or post pictures of Betty White eating hot dogs and... well I'm not sure I made the right choice, honestly. But it will have to do. Have a great weekend, people.

Viggo Mortensen Five Times

.
Viggo's on the cover of the new issue of Esquire magazine this month, and gosh it's good to see him isn't it? We defnitely don't see him often enough. You can read the interview with him right over here - I haven't read it yet but I'm sure he'll be more interesting than half the pretty boys I post about here. But speaking of pretty you can hit the jump for the rest of the pictures...

Jake Gyllenhaal is Getting Busy

.
This always happens with Jake - it will be quiet for a long while and then suddenly, all within a couple of days, the dam will break and a bunch of stuff will be announced and then he'll go back into publicity hiding again. Earlier today I shared his skit from the new episode of Amy Schumer and the news that he's doing a one-night show.

But I should've waited a couple hours, because now even bigger news! He's re-teaming with director Denis Villeneuve (they made the great Enemy and the good Prisoners together) on The Son. It's an adaptation of a book by Norwegian writer Jo Nesbo (who has a different book being turned into a movie starring Michael Fassbender right now, the lucky so n' so) about a "once promising wrestler" whose life goes into a drug-addled downward-spiral after the death of his father - the story finds the dude finding out his father's death was not what he thought it was, and seeking vengeance.

Villeneuve is working on the Blade Runner sequel right now and will do this once that's done. Jake just finished shooting the Boston Bombing film Stronger and is currently shooting that movie with Snowpiercer director Bong Joon-ho and Tilda Swinton; after that he's making that space-station film with Ryan Reynolds. And he's also got that Tom Ford movie in the can. Good stuff to look forward to!

ETA See, this is what I'm talking about --  more Jake news! "That Tom Ford movie" that I just mentioned has just gotten a release date - it will come out in November. Specifically it is getting "an exclusive engagement" (whatever the hell that means)on November 18th, and it will widen over the next week up through Thanksgiving. I smell Oscars for everybody.
.

Wiener In The House

.
No sooner should I buy my tickets to see Todd Solondz's sorta semi-sequel to Welcome to the Dollhouse called Weiner-Dog - which tells several stories, all involving some kind of a magical dachshund, one of which includes an adult Dawn Weiner played by Greta Gerwig - at BAM's CinemaFest in Brooklyn next month than the trailer miraculously should appear! Watch!
.
.
The film also stars Ellen Burstyn, Kieran Culkin, Julie Delpy, Danny DeVito, Tracy Letts and Zosia Mamet, and it's out in theaters on June 24th, just a week after it screens in Brooklyn. But you think I could wait one more week than need be? HA!
.

Daniel Craig Is Getting Lucky

.
The cast for Steven Soderbergh's return to the movies, the NASCAR-centered heist film called Logan Lucky, has begun to get stuffed - when we last heard about it was set to star Channing Tatum and Michael Shannon, but now Shannon's name seems to have vanished and instead the film will co-star, alongside Tatum, Adam Driver and Daniel Craig. I mean I love Michael Shannon but I can't sneeze at those names either. It's not too surprising that big names would clamor for a Soderbergh movie, though - he kinda gets whoever the hell he wants. Anyway Deadline theorizes that this, along with that series he's signed on for, really does mean Daniel Craig is dunzo with James Bond. Fine by me -- I am on Team Gillian now.
.

Today's Fanboy Delusion

Today I'd rather be...

... parking with Jeremy Irvine & Karl Glusman.

I think these two have... intentions!

Yup.

They sure do.

I still haven't bothered watching Stonewall but I saw this scene going around on Tumblr and I wanted in on that action. It's been out on home video for a bit - have any of you bothered catching it yet?

Taken out of context this scene, at least on a visual level, is an appealing sight. I'm sure Roland Emmerich ruins all of that once dreaded context is layered over it, but let's at least enjoy this much, here and now.

The way God intended.

Sunday in the Park with Jakey

.
Don't ask me why our favorite Gyllenhaalic Gallery Site IHJM just uploaded several never-before-seen shots of Jake in his bike-shorts from a full ten years ago (remember when he was hanging out with Lance Armstrong and Matthew McConaughey all the time? Yeah these are from then), but I sure as shit ain't...

... complainin'. These are fine memories to be reminded of.
We were so young and so full of life then.

Anyway in other Jake news I assume that those of you who care about such things saw that he is set to perform another gay ol' time for Broadway this Fall - he's doing a Sondheim show, Sunday in the Park With George, for a one night event a la his Little Shop of Horrors last year.

I went to Little Shop (and loved it) but I decided at the very last second to skip this new one - I even had tickets in my cart for it and everything, but I balked at the price just before clicking purchase. If I hadn't just spent a bunch of money on several Broadway shows in a row I might've played it differently, but I don't even seem to like Sondheim (I know, I'm a terrible gay) so I don't feel that distraught.

And then there's this:
.

.
I'm surprised they dropped this clip early (they'd played it up in last week's preview, and we'd seen him filming on the set a few months back) but there it is, Jake's skit with Amy Schumer!
.

Everything You Ever Need To Know About Life...

... you can learn from:

Dawson: Schreck? That's a German word,
isn't it? Means fear or... horror.
Dr. Schreck: A more exact translation would be terror.
An unfortunate misnomer for I am the mildest of men.

I have never seen this movie, which reveals an extraordinary lapse of good judgement on my part -- can I actually say I have my lived a life, any sort of life, if I have never seen a movie called Dr. Terror's House of Horrors while a movie called Dr. Terror's House of Horrors is out there to see? Obviously no, no no, I cannot. Today is the 103rd anniversary of the birth of the great Peter Cushing, and so in his honor I say I will right this morbid wrong, good sir! I swear it! I mean for god's sake look at the glorious poster:

Frenzied Fright!
Freezing Terror!
Screaming Nightmare!
Woody Allen Raped By Vines!

Pics of the Day

.
The first few official pictures of Matt Bomer in The Last Tycoon, his TV series for Amazon based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's unfinished final novel about a movie producer (read all about it here), have arrived and sure enough what we're seeing is what we expected: the spectacle of Matt Bomer looking perfect in tailored suits.

Come to think of it that was basically the appeal of Matt's last TV show White Collar too, wasn't it? I mean there were a few moments where he seemed to be auditioning for the Magic Mike movies on that show, but mostly we were just gaping in awe at the way light trousers hung on him. I am good with more of this!

The pilot for The Last Tycoon will debut on Amazon on June 17th, and it's pick-up depends on all of us watching it so we gotta be on top of this! (Immediately cue thoughts of being on top of Bomer.) (Cue sigh.) (Sigh.)
