Good Morning, World

Our Now Apocalypse pretty boy Avan Jogia is advertising his wares now that he's got a new series on Prime called 56 Days -- anybody watching it? Actually anybody watched it -- I think the entire run of episodes was dropped all at once so maybe you're already done with it. I am not! I haven't even begun, but I do think that I'll probably watch it at some point, for reasons displayed in all their glory up above. Anyway! I am running late this morning. Let's get to it.

Good Morning, World

I first saw these photos of former Now Apocalypse beauty Avan Jogia a couple of days ago but since I never posted them here on the site (only on Bluesky) and since I needed something for this morning's "Good Morning" post, let's do this thing. The photos are for an upcoming Prime series called 56 Days, based on a book by Catherine Ryan Howard (anybody read it?) -- it's described as "an erotic thriller" (ooh we love those) about a couple of pretty young things (played by Jogia and Dove Cameron) who meet, fall into sexytimes, and fifty-six days later a mutilated corpse springs forth and (per usual) somebody's to blame. I think the big question is who is the corpse, if I'm reading this right? It's supposed to be him or her (which is unidentifiable due to the mutilation) and the show will untangle that mystery. Anyway we've worshipped upon the altar of Avan's beauty since that former Gregg Araki series mentioned in this post's first sentence so we'll be watching this when it premieres in February. I don't recognize a single other name involved but Avan's nuff!

Avan Jogia Three Times

These photos were supposedly for Paper magazine back in May -- the interview is here but there are only a couple of the photos that I can find posted there? (There is one, not shared here, that contains the hint of a mesh t-shirt that I would like to see more of though.) The rest must've been shared in other locations. Anyway Avan is such walking sex! My god.

Which is Hotter?

Happilly Now Apocalypse actor Avan Jogia has been quite active on Instagram lately, gifting us with these three photos seen here, very much of note -- and naturally I feel the need to make you choose between "shirtless" or "suit bulge" because I'm bored out of my mind and avoiding other work right now.

Avan Jogia Six Times

Another day, another magazine I've never heard of gifting us with photos of a beautiful actor -- these photos of Now Apocalypse star Avan Jogia come at us via a thing called Grumpy magazine (via)? Sure, why not. Anyway Avan looks diabolically dreamy and that's all that matters. (I hope Gregg Araki casts Avan again the next time he directs something!) Hit the jump for them all...

Good Morning, World

For yesterday's "Good Morning, World" post I wished Now Apocalypse actor Avan Jogia a happy birthday and got to rambling about Gregg Araki shit, which always leads me back unto his movie The Doom Generation -- always me and Doom, forever linked! Well about ten minutes after I did that rambling yesterday I saw the above photo on the Instagram of that movie's star Johnathon Schaech, so we'll consider it a sign. A sign of what I have no idea, but if Johnathon wants to come wrap those ridiculous biceps around my throat and strangle me until I have a vision of what this sign portends I would be fine with that too. Fine! Super fine!

Good Morning, World

A happy 31st birthday to Now Apocalypse actor Avan Jogia, who was kind enough to share with us this lovely photo the other day on Instagram. Exquisite timing, Avan. God I wish Now Apocalypse had been the humongous hit it deserved to be and we got five seasons. I miss dem sexy nuts. If only Gregg Araki would make something new for god's sake! I'm hoping this is an Araki-fied year, what with the new 4K restoration of his film The Doom Generation screening at Sundance the other week. Bring on the Teen Apocalypse Trilogy boxed-set, Criterion! It's not just me who's begging for that now -- every single time I see anybody put forth the question -- what movie should Criterion rescue! -- a few people say those films. So f'ing overdue.

Pablo Schreiber Fifteen Times

The fine folks at Schön! magazine have struck gold again with this photoshoot of the mountainously manly Pablo Schreiber, most recently seen (in his mountainous altogether at that) on the video-game adaptation series Halo for Paramount+. You can read the interview with Pablo right hereSchön! has become a beacon of Hot Man Content over the past couple of years...

... see their Scott Speedman photoshoot here! See their Michiel Huisman photoshoot here! See their Billy Magnussen photoshoot here! See their Avan Jogia photoshoot here! They're hitting up so many of our faves that I'm starting to think somebody at Schön! might be an MNPP fan and are curating specifically for us! Anyway lots more of big man Pablo after the jump...

Avan Jogia Five Times

Going with a surprise theme, I guess -- I already marked director Gregg Araki's birthday earlier so let's share this brand new photoshoot of his Now Apocalypse leading man Avan Jogia while we're at it, huh? Not that Avan is even somewhat recognizable in these photos for Schön! magazine -- he's gone full Billy Idol, and while I probably prefer Avan Original Flavor I'm not mad at any of this. There are more photos and an interview at this link, or just hit the jump for my fave snaps of the bunch...

Avan Jogia Six Times

.
Seeing Avan just depresses me about how there won't be a second season of Gregg Araki's Now Apocalypse (sigh) but these new photos of him (via) clearly demand posting -- so I checked IMDb to see what this beautiful, beautiful man is up to and hey, this sounds interesting! He made a movie called The Exchange about a nerdy kid who orders a best friend online and what's interesting about it is...

... the nerdy kid in the lead role is played by Ed Oxenbould, who was so tremendously good in the lead of Paul Dano's film Wildlife back in 2018. I'm very happy to see Ed getting work! And while I can definitely comprehend the plot of a movie (or real life) being "I ordered Avan Jogia online!" I have no idea if The Exchange will actually be worth our time -- it's from the director of Dirty Grandpa, which... was not. But let's hope this is. For Ed and Avan's sake. And let's hit the jump for more pretty pictures of pretty Avan...

Avan Jogia Twenty-Five Times

.
While we all sit on our thumbs waiting to hear if Starz is still in the Gregg Araki business (or vice versa) let's waste a couple moments staring at some photos that Now Apocalypse star Avan Jogia's been captured in since the last time we checked in on him, shall we? We shall. Hit the jump for the rest...

Avan Jogia One Time

.
Have you guys finished Now Apocalypse yet? If you have shut your goddamned mouths, cuz I haven't! I had screeners for the first five and watched them in a hurry well before any of the episodes aired on Starz, but now that we've all got access to the entire season I feel like taking my time and savoring the rest of them since who knows when (if) the show will come back. Anyway this shot of our boy Avan is via Attitude Magazine -- they have some quotes from him about how he doesn't like sexual labels yadda yadda et cetera and so forth... ahh the fascinations of youth.

Avan Jogia Seven Times

.
I thought I might be able to resist the siren song of Avan Jogia given the fact that I had no idea why I even knew his name until he got cast on Gregg Araki's Now Apocalypse -- I thought maybe, incorrectly it turns out, that he was one of those Teen Wolf or CW Superhero Show twinks who multiplied like bunnies all of a sudden -- but having watched two episodes of Now Apocalypse at this juncture... yeah, I won't be ignoring Avan, turns out.

Mark your calendar, kiddos -- Now Apocalypse premieres on Starz on March 10th. You can watch the first trailer right here. Oh and here's a new chat with Araki about the show. Given my positive reaction to the series' first couple of episodes you can expect more coverage from me, lots more, I'd wager. Hit the jump for the rest...

Pic of the Day

.
Wave hello with whatever you've got handy to this picture of Avan Jogia and Beau Mirchoff in Gregg Araki's forthcoming television program Now Apocalypse, which we just shared the trailer for on Wednesday. The show premieres on March 10th and I can only assume, blessed be, this is only the start of a massive PR push involving all manner of bulges.  (click to embiggen)

The Must Watch Apocalypse For 2019

.
Now here's an apocalypse that we can actually look forward to -- Gregg Araki's new TV series for Starz called Now Apocalypse is premiering on March 10th and they've given us our first trailer and, uh, if you've ever seen anything by Gregg Araki you know what you should expect. I say that like it is a good thing, which it is, given "what you should expect" is...

... polyamorous pretty people of every queer persuasion wearing neon rubber jumpsuits and leather jackets and jerking each other off under starbursts and mushroom clouds. Who the hell doesn't want those things? I don't want to know anybody who doesn't want those things. Here's the trailer:
.

.
You can see my previous post on this show when it was announced right here - it stars Avan Jogia and Tyler Posey and Beau Mirchoff and, well, dozens more really but I only focused on those three when I giffed the trailer and you can now make like Beau's speedo bulge and slam into the jump for said gifs...
