Can't believe it's taken me this long to do a post on Broadway actor Claybourne Elder -- openly gay and quite the looker (understatement much) Claybourne first caught my eye on stage when I saw him alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in Sunday in the Park With George back in 2017, and if you're catching my eye when Jake's there in front of me that's saying something! Anyway I immediately followed him on Instagram, as one does, and it was only a matter of time before he showed up here (especially when he showed up as one of The Gays on The Gilded Age) but this has been a lot of time. We've got a new magazine called Buds to thank for breaking our Claybourne cherry -- as far as I can tell this magazine is for gay stoners? They photograph him smoking joints and ask him about what kind of underwear he wears -- this is a specific niche! Anyway I have the rest of the shoot and a couple bonus photos at the end right here after the jump...

Claybourne Elder Two Times

Hello, good people of blog. I should've done this earlier today but in case you didn't notice -- it's been kind of quiet here today. That's because I'm not working today. Unexpectedly took the day off, and I mostly haven't been online. And I did try earlier to find some worthwhile picture with which to share this information, but didn't, not until Gilded Age actor Claybourne Elder shared these two photos on his Insta this afternoon. Then I knew the moment had come. (It wasn't the only thing!) These photos are from an old photo-shoot by the way -- see the other ones here, because obviously we posted them before. This is a good reminder that The Gilded Age is back on though, isn't it? I haven't had a chance to watch any, but I feel like I would know if my wish had come true and the show had finagled some way to have Claybourne and his co-star Morgan Spector make out, so I don't feel a big rush. I'll get there! But not before I get back to blogging tomorrow. See ya then!

I was waiting until I finally got around to starting the new season of The Gilded Age to post these photos of Claybourne Elder (via), one of the show's resident homosexuals, and I finally watched the premiere last night when I got home from a screening and needed to decompress. Talk about a show built in a sicece lab for decompressing. What if Downton, but with less drama and more hats? It's so escapist I feel like Harry Houdini when it's done. Anyway I like that they're allowing the two gays on the show, who have broken up, to stay friends -- that rings deeply true. And I guess some other stuff happened...  but hats. That's all I remember. Once the string of filthy thoughts subside (and that takes a little bit) I'm always left with the phrase "Former Mormon" stuck in my head whenever new pictures of Broadway slash HBO hunk Claybourne Elder appear -- well this new photoshoot (via) really leans into that as you'll see after the jump when some prominent devil horns show up (and no, that's not a euphemism). Has anyone seen his touring concert, which these are in service of? They call the show "surprisingly filthy" which makes me think I might be able to get over my full body allergy to cabaret enough in order to see and hear Claybourne talking sex stuff in the flesh. Happy one day work week to all who celebrate! Okay out of all the tens of people reading these words it's probably just me celebrating that, but you should be happy for me anyway. I'd be happy for you! Okay no I wouldn't, I'm an absolute see-you-next-Thursday when it comes to that sort of thing. Whatever. It's this Thursday so we don't have to worry about next Thursday and this will be the only day I'll be blogging this week is my point. (If you don't count the one post I made yesterday anyway, and since I said not to you shouldn't. Christ you're being difficult this morning.) With that said, Claybourne Elder! 

(ETA the above video which Claybourne dropped this morning after I'd posted this.) He was enough of a gentleman to invite us into his dressing room for The Gilded Age on his Instagram this week, and why wouldn't we take that bait? This week's episode of that show was a good one right? Good n' frothy, just the way I like... lots of things. (Morgan Spector, you listening?) Ehh let's get this Thursday going and gone, then -- I'm exhausted already.

Happy Hump Day from actor Claybourne Elder (via) and also from your friends here at MNPP -- i.e. me and me alone -- who are now back from vacation after several days off. With a vengeance! Okay that is definitely over-stating it. I usually take some time to get back up to my full speed, which is usually everybody else's half-speed. "With a middling vengeance," doesn't have the same ring though. Anyway I know some favorite MNPP readers who were weirded out the last time I posted photographs of Claybourne here because they "know him" and to that I say -- where's the proof? I'm still waiting for that singing telegram proof a knock knock knockin' at my door, babes. Oh wait, we're still in a pandemic aren't we? I suppose the singing telegram business has really been hit the hardest in the past three years. Pour one out for the singing telegrams, folks.

This is an excellent educational moment for up and coming actors (and their teams, I suppose) -- search your name on Twitter every so often and like tweets that have been posted about you, because that might just remind some people to post even more photos of you being hot. There's no shame in the game, my sexy friends! For example -- I have a small but purposeful Claybourne Elder thread going on Twitter right now. (You can see more of him here as well.) This morning I was sitting here trying to think of something to post to say "Good Morning" as I do every day, when suddenly, wham, that Twitter thread got a like from a certain somebody whose name rhymes with "Styrofoam Shelter." (Sidenote: I am terrible at rhyming.) And like a flash I remembered that the above photo existed (via) and I somehow hadn't posted it yet! Everybody wins!
