I was waiting until I finally got around to starting the new season of The Gilded Age to post these photos of Claybourne Elder (via), one of the show's resident homosexuals, and I finally watched the premiere last night when I got home from a screening and needed to decompress. Talk about a show built in a sicece lab for decompressing. What if Downton, but with less drama and more hats? It's so escapist I feel like Harry Houdini when it's done. Anyway I like that they're allowing the two gays on the show, who have broken up, to stay friends -- that rings deeply true. And I guess some other stuff happened...  but hats. That's all I remember.
