Fee Fi Fo Flux!

Big day for trailers, y'all! Following the Fire Island one a bit earlier we now have the first full trailer for Peter Strickland's Flux Gourmet, aka my most anticipated film of 2022! Peter Strickland if you're unaware previously directed the masterpieces Berberian Sound Studio, The Duke of Burgundy, and In Fabric -- all MNPP faves among faves; he's a director who taps straight into the sort of cinematic madness I love the most. Strange, off-putting, aggressively particular and grandiose, he makes the movies I want to see!

Flux Gourmet, as explained previously -- see my original post on the film here, see the first poster here, and see the previous teaser trailer alongside a batch of images here -- is about a war that breaks out between gastroenterologists and a performative sound collective (because of course it is!) and stars Asa Butterfield, Gwendoline Christie, Richard Bremmer, and the one and only Fatma Mohamed, who's been Strickland's secret weapon in every one of his films. Her part seems prominent here, and that fills me with total and utter glee. Watch!

IFC is releasing Flux Gourmet in theaters
and on demand on June 24th. Be there!
