Everything You Ever Need To Know About Life...

... you can learn from:

The Captain: Go on, Montag, all this philosophy, let's get rid of it. It's even worse than the novels. Thinkers and philosophers, all of them saying exactly the same thing: "Only I am right! The others are all idiots!"

Now here's a movie I need to do for my "Great Moments in Movie Shelves" series if ever there was one. Anyway the great Ray Bradbury was born on this day in the year 1920 - I keep forgetting that this book is getting another adaptation very shortly, only 50 plus years after Truffaut tried it out. Then again it couldn't be timelier! (Sigh.)  Man Push Cart and 99 Homes director Ramin Bahrani is directing and Michael B. Jordan and Michael Shannon are starring in it, for HBO. They already released a picture:

They look like they're starring in a reboot of V, or maybe even like they're weirdly shy extras on the set of a new Cruising. I'm into it. Anyway I don't think HBO has said when they're planning on releasing this yet but stay tuned, we will surely be paying attention.
