All day long I keep saying, "I'm going to Sundance! I'm going to Sundance!" But I haven't said much about what I am seeing at Sundance -- at least not except for how excited I am about Love Lies Bleeding, the new movie from Saint Maud director Rose Glass that stars Kristen Stewart, when that teaser trailer dropped a few weeks back. So here's something else you should be paying attention to! Above is the poster for a new slasher movie called In a Violent Nature from writer-director Chris Nash -- it's premiering at Sundance this Monday and it will presumably be out later this year since it's already got distribution thanks to IFC and Shudder. And all I will say is that you'll be hearing more from me on it soon enough, I promise. For now just tuck the title away. Oh and here's the film's synopsis:
"When a locket is removed from a collapsed fire tower in the woods that entombs the rotting corpse of Johnny, a vengeful spirit spurred on by a horrific 60-year old crime, his body is resurrected and becomes hellbent on retrieving it. The undead golem hones in on the group of vacationing teens responsible for the theft and proceeds to methodically slaughter them one by one in his mission to get it back - along with anyone in his way."
