Choosing a photo that I would find acceptable to post here on MNPP with regards to the movie musical Dear Evan Hansen took some thinking, given 1) how much I hated the musical when I saw it on stage and 2) how much I hated the movie when I just reviewed it for Pajiba today. Yes I went into it the movie with my mind already half made up, and no I don't want to look at any photos from it if I don't have to. So a photo of Julianne Moore and Amy Adams at the movie's premiere -- two wonderful actresses I love who don't embarrass themselves with the film -- seemed like a good compromise. They were lovely and talented redheaded bombshells before and they remain lovely and talented redheaded bombshells after. Certain other people, on the other hand...
Been thinking a lot about how Richard Linklater bet on us wanting to still think about Ben Platt twenty years from now and laughing, laughing, laughing

Good review on Pajiba, I think I'll have the same reaction. Saw the preview before Shang-Chi, and my friend (who saw it on stage) couldn't stop laughing.
