... to familiarize myself with the cinema of
Perry King all of a sudden. Any suggestions?

"For me it's always Strangers on a Train that I thought of when I saw her. She's charming in Stage Fright but Strangers was the best role she had... It is too bad she didn't act more since she had a sure comic touch. But she can't be faulted for choosing to concentrate on raising her family, especially since she was always so willing to share her memories of her parents at any time.."--- That's reader Joel memorializing an MNPP Forever Fave with the death of Patricia Hitchcock, daughter to Alfred & Alma and an always welcome screen-presence that we totally adored. Try The Possession of Joel Delaney, a horror movie they would not make today (you'll see why).
Mandingo. He has a brief full frontal if it's not cut.
What took you so long ? ....lol
Both Mandingo and The Possession Joel Delany could not be made today.
And check out my personal favorite: the Wild Party--A Merchant/Ivory film starring Raquel Welch (!). King never looked hotter!
Yeah, I just watched the Class of 84' the other week. You gotta love his beard in that movie. Major Hottie.
He is a hoot in Andy Warhol's Bad.
1978's "A Different Story" which tells the different story of a lesbian (Meg Foster) and gay man (Perry) who marry for convenience but fall in love. Yep- it's one of those 70s movies where sexuality can change because you're around someone a lot. But there is a lot of Perry in the shower, as I recall...
Perfect people. 1980s. He and his wife decide to spent their savings and get plastic surgery and start working out and reinvent themselves. Their reward is to have sex for there anniversary and celebrate their new bodies. He wears some kind of brief that can’t identify a style. Seems like a made for TV movie but was actually pretty good and ahead of its time on plot.
