Jake Picking Three Times

.

Jake Picking plays Roy Fitzgerald aka Rock Hudson in Hollywood, which dropped on Netflix today -- have you watched any of it yet? These photos are from W Magazine where they chat Jake up about the show and also about his work on the Top Gun sequel... from Ryan Murphy to Tom Cruise... now that's an arc...

Damn this show was trash... More specifically the writing. This was rushed. I sort of like all the actors, and was impressed by Jake Picking. I’ve been reading on Twitter that this show was for the gays, but that’s a lie. Anyway, maybe we’ll see some of this cast in the future AHS.

Not really interested. It's been shoved down my gay throat for sooo long that I just don't care anymore. Hollywood! Beard! Closet cases! MGM!

Great production values, terrible scripts. Paget Brewster, Patti Lupone, Joe Mantello and Holland Taylor are excellent, but holy shit this is a mind-numbingly stupid show. Choosing Rock Hudson as a champion of gay rights is the wrong kind of revisionism. And I'm not sure why this guy played him as if he were mentally challenged.
This was a show I was looking forward to, as it takes place during one of my favorite Hollywood eras, so I was probably more disappointed than others. Sad, the true stories of the time are far more interesting than this.

Show was garbage. He looks indistinguishable from the other young gym rats in Ryan Murphy's stable of himbos

I'm sorry, why all the vitriol about Hollywood? It was well produced and well-acted. You can always rely on Murphy to blend eye candy with divas. Were you expecting a documentary? I took it for what it was, escapist fun and Patti fucking LuPone!

I think it’s time we all agree that Joe Mantello is a national treasure!
