I did a post last week where I told you about some art-shows here in New York that are worth your time if you're a Movie Nerd (and if you're not a Movie Nerd I think you got turned around somewhere cuz why would you be here) but it only took about twenty-four hours for that post to bite back at me, because that was when I found out about a show I didn't know about -- the Gagosian gallery at Park Ave and 75th Street (it's called Park + 75, so clever) just opened a small exhibit of H.R. Giger sculptures! Emphasis on small, there are less than ten pieces on display, and it's a co-show with the artist Mark Prent so not even all of them are Giger. But the Giger that's there is GIGER for fuck's sake so it's worth the trek. Just be aware it's small and manage your expectations. Bonus: the show was curated by the film-maker Harmony Korine!
