The first trailer for Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, director Joe Berlinger's Ted Bundy bio-pic starring Zac Efron and his ridiculous abs, has arrived right before it premieres at Sundance, and uh yeah there are his abs. And listen, as someone who's dressed up as Jeffrey Dahmer for Halloween I have no room to judge. Our lurid fascination with serial killers has always had a sexual angle to it -- I don't make the news, I just report it...
... and it's ridiculous to pretend we're not still talking about Ted Bundy because he was the "hot" one. Well the 'hot straight" one - Jeff's got the "hot gay" one sealed up. Anyway Berlinger's a good enough filmmaker that I am assuming that's a piece of what he'll be investigating with EWSEV; burying our bad stuff is how it gets all twisted. And the movie co-stars Lily Collins as the woman Bundy made a personal life with while he was committing all his horrors, which seems the right direction to focus.
