I had a pretty spectacular birthday weekend, everybody - besides the gigantic cake that my boyfriend baked around me that I had to eat my way out of last night (so huge, so delicious) I saw Radiohead for the gazillionth time on Saturday night and they, unsurprisingly, wowed. ... I have a new most-popular Instagram post! On Friday I went to the Morgan Library here in NYC to see their current exhibition displaying some papers of note having to do with James Ivory and his Merchant Ivory productions, which includes as you see there his scribbled-all-over copy of Andre Aciman's book Call Me By Your Name, a property you have maybe heard me mention here before once or twice. And yes going to see this book was a religious experience for me akin to visiting Mecca or whatever Pope things the Catholics like to stare at. The exhibition's on display through October so if you're in town or coming to town you're gonna want to finger this shroud, folks.

Does posting a link to Amazon count as crossing a picket-line, Jason? Might their site be wonky because of the international strike in protest over pay and working conditions?
The Morgan Library is a national treasure! It's hosted one amazing exhibition after another.
And even though J. P. Morgan has been dead for 105 years, when you go into the wing with the original Ofice and Library, you can actually feel the power of the man.
