We're All Homo Sapiens Here

.
Love Simon is the upcoming high school gay love story starring Jurassic World's Nick Robinson that we have told you about previously - see here for the original news, and then click here for a couple of the first pictures from it. Well now there's a trailer! A teaser one, they say, but it's two minutes long and that seems like a lot of tease if you ask me. I still haven't gotten a chance to read the book that it's based on (called Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda) but what a delight - mainstream gay teenager love stories, ya know? Imagining having this sort of thing in the world when I was their age is kinda mind-blowing, to say the least...

Love, Simon is out on March 16th.

I'm SO pumped for this movie! And not just because of how cute I think Nick Robinson is, haha. Definitely read the book, Jason! I read it twice in one week which is something I NEVER do. It was funny, it was cute, it was sweet, it was exciting, it was awesome, it was fucking lovely. I really related to the main character in a lot of ways, though I definitely differed from him in a lot of ways too. It's a truly wonderful book.

Though of course when I watched the trailer I became one of those book readers who's all, "They changed SO much!!!" Lol! But it's cool, because this movie looks great regardless as to how faithful it is to the book (though of course I would love it if it was super fucking faithful, haha). I really hope that not only is the movie well done and as amazing as it deserves to be, but that it is extremely successful in all the ways that it needs to be.

Nah, this trailer has maybe 3% shared DNA with the book (which is fun and light and good). Could just be the trailer but wow, it's pretty unrecognizable.
