Good Morning, World

.
Another day, another way to celebrate the Oscar win for Moonlight, my favorite of the nine nominees for Best Picture this year -- my favorite hardly ever wins! Scanning back through all the Best Picture winners over the years the last time that happened was actually just a couple of years ago when 12 Years a Slave won (that movie placed 4th on my own personal favorite films of the year) although there's a chance I might, with a re-watch of the both of them, switch that film and Spike Jonze's Her around now? I don't know, I haven't seen either since 2013.

But to find another Best Picture winner that is my favorite of the nominees you have to go back all the way to the controversial year of 1998 when Shakespeare in Love won -- and yes I'm saying I value Shakespeare in Love more than Saving Private Ryan, so get that straight-bruh bullshit outta here. Shakespeare in Love is a delight.

When was the last time your favorite
of the Best Picture nominees won?

Anyway, as I was saying, hooray for Moonlight, and hooray for all the Trevante Rhodes we can muster. You know how he posed in his underwear for Calvin Klein yesterday? Well we got another picture last night; we posted it on the Tumblr but I';ll share it here down below along with a couple more gifs from this wet dream scene of Trev's after the jump...

2011 for me; I fricking loved The Artist. Still enjoy it greatly.

Agree with you re: "Shakespeare in Love". After its impressive first 20 minutes, "Saving Private Ryan" was just another cliched war movie with a cookie-cutter plot

"Shakespeare in Love" is a glorious celebration of wit, charm, and intelligence, and it fully deserved its win.
