I was just whining to a friend the other day about missing Jake Gyllenhaal do Stephen Sondheim's musical Sunday in the Park with George earlier this year and it looks like a little musical theater fairy was listening in because that whine has grown wings and turned into a magical new happenstance - the musical is being re-staged not as a couple-night event like it was but as a full-grown Broadway production! Variety reports that the show will premiere in February and run for ten weeks, and it will co-star the same lovely lady that Jake co-starred in the earlier version, the great Tony-winning actress Annaleigh Ashford (who I know thanks to Masters of Sex).
