Colin Farrell Is Sacred, Dear

.
Yorgos Lanthimos' brilliant and weird and funny new film The Lobster is finally out in US theaters this weekend (hence this week's banner) and just in time for that we're getting word that his next movie will star the star of that one - Colin Farrell's signed up for The Killing of a Sacred Deer, which we'd told you about previously right here. It is "a psychological thriller with supernatural elements" that's about "a young man that needs to take revenge, a doctor that has to make a decision, and his family that must survive."

None of that is terribly specific, I know, but seeing as how Lanthimos' films always defy expectations (and sanity itself) it'd probably be foolish to try and sum up a plot anyway. I guess this is more news out of Cannes, where everything is happening, le sigh. Somebody bring me next year, please. These pictures of Colin are from Elle Spain; you can hit the jump for the rest...

What happened to what was supposed to be the director's next film starring his other Lobster star Olivia Colman?
