I was all set to retire from blogging for the weekend but whoops I forgot to share this, my picture of Todd Solondz at FSLC last night speaking after the 20th anniversary screening of Welcome to the Dollhouse that I told you about. Dawn forbid I forget such a thing! Not much to report -- a couple of people asked me to find out when if ever this movie was going to get a blu-ray release but I didn't get to ask him a question, so I have no answer for you. He told some great but long stories about the casting process. Oh, I will say that he made me laugh harder than anyone has ever made me laugh at a Q&A though when he himself had a giggling fit over, what else, the Holocaust. The Holocaust! Let me remind you this was a screening for the New York Jewish Film Festival. He is my hero.
