They Speak English In What?

.
The Film Experience is celebrating Black History Month by taking a look at a selection of the black artists and technicians that have been nominated for Academy Awards over the years, and because I'd been wanting to re-watch Pulp Fiction (a fact I already went into this morning) I picked Samuel L. Jackson and his performance as Jules therein, which was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in 1995. Click on over to TFE and you can read what I had to say! He's really something in the movie. I probably would've still handed the trophy to Martin Landau in Ed Wood, which is who beat him, but it's not an easy choice by any means. Who would you pick?

All due respect to the other nominees - which were  Chazz Palminteri for Bullets Over Broadway, Paul Scofield for Quiz Show and Gary Sinise for Forrest Gump - but no, notsomuch.

I haven't seen BoB since it came out; I have really got to go back and watch it again, for sure
