Mr. Montgomery Clift was born on this day 92 years ago, and died a scant forty-five and three-quarter years after that. This photos that I'm giving love to here - well deserved love, I'd say - were taken in 1948 when Monty was 28 years old by the LIFE Magazine photographer J.R. Eyerman (perhaps best known for taking that picture of the movie audience wearing 3D glasses). Hit the jump for eighteen more.
