I Know What You Did Last Summer came out fifteen years ago today, which is making me feel hella old (you can tell I'm old because I used the word "hella") because I have really vivid memories of going to see this movie when I was in college. Gah. They had free preview screenings on my campus for all of the late 90s slashers that were geared square at my ticket-buying-block - besides this movie I can remember seeing Scream 2 (which came out in December of the same year) and Urban Legends (which came out the following September) this way. IKWYDLS is terrific fun, I don't care what anybody says. It might not be a classic game-changer like Scream was a year earlier, but it took Craven's lead and ran with it, making a solid little flick with some great scares and set-pieces. Plus, I mean...

Love this movie. Next to Scream, definitely my favourite slasher flick. I can watch it over and over and never get bored.
This is the movie that also made me fall in love with SMG. She's sooooooo good in it!
