Open Your Mouth Wide, The Universal Sigh

.
Last month was The Month of Radiohead, what with those two shows swallowing up NYC not to mention their SNL and Fallon and Colbert gigs, but it's starting to look like 2012 will be The Year of Radiohead, which, yes please. (Although every year is the year of Radiohead, according to me.) In an interview with Rolling Stone Thom Yorke confirms they will be touring next year, that he will be putting out an album with his side-gig Atoms For Peace, and that Radiohead proper will be returning to the studio to maybe have a new album out next year too!

Radiohead are returning to the studio as well. They will work on new material at their recording space in Oxford, England, in December and January. "We can get things together quite rapidly at the moment," Yorke says brightly. He mentions one song, "Come to Your Senses." "We have this version of it. It's a five-minute rehearsal, but it has the essence of what we need... There are a few of those," he adds. "It would be fun to have them ready when we go to play next year. I don't know how we would release them." Yorke smiles hopefully. "It would be nice to make it all part of the flow and just enjoy it – not think about it too much."
