"SHHH! I'm listening to reason!"

.

How much do we love Pee Wee's Big Adventure here at MNPP? We love it so much it has become a part of us. It is my third leg. That much! Which is why it disturbs me so to hear that today my third leg has turned 25 years old. Good gravy! If you head over to The Film Experience I just highlighted a fave moment from the movie in honor of its 25th. As for here, I've done a couple posts on my love affair with this movie before, and here are some favorite links:

Some love for Tina, aka Jan Hook's Alamo tour guide is here!

Some love for Pee Wee's morning routine is here!

Oh, this movie. My love runs so deep. There's a lotta things about my love for this movie you don't know anything about, people. Things you wouldn't understand. Things you couldn't understand. Things you shouldn't understand. I've got a Pee Wee Herman pull-string talking doll that looks over my bed every night and lemme tell you what, he holds secrets.

.
And I'm seeing Pee Wee's show on Broadway
in just a couple of months! Joy! And hyperventilation!

The first time I saw that movie with my sis and an old pal, we laughed hard and non-stop. An usher came up to us and asked us not to laugh so hard. According to him some patrons were complaining. Our response? Dude, it's a fucking comedy!! You can't stop people from laughing at a comedy!! We then laughed at him, he didn't return. I have the talking doll too, he's still at the foot of my bed but his voice sound like he's trying to run in mud.

Old? Bitch, please! I've been loving PWBA before y'all was a twinkle yer daddy's eye. My sister and I, long huge fans of Reuben's insane manchild saw it opening night. It was a revelation of lunacy and nonsense for it's own sake. I'll go toe-to-toe on a quoting contest with anyone, any time. "Everyone's got a big but..."

We may not always agree, but when we do, we do it big.

PS - You're not a true Pee-Wee fan unless you know who Camille is...
