Mounting It On The Woll

.

Some news via The Playlist:

"More details on the potential cast for Paul Thomas Anderson's forthcoming untitled Scientology drama are surfacing as it gears up for a shoot this summer. Last week we reported that Reese Witherspoon had been offered the role of the Master's wife Mary-Sue, who acts as his caretaker and vigilant lieutenant. This week, the print edition of Production Weekly reveals that Amanda Seyfried, Emma Stone and Deborah Ann Woll are all being considered for the role of Elizabeth, The Master and Mary-Sue's daughter."

I love Mandy Seyfried and I love Emma Stone - so why am I rooting for Deborah Ann Woll to land the daughter role over the both of them? Woll you oughta know plays teen-vamp Jessica on True Blood, and she's really truly a delight there. And somehow I can picture her slipping into PTA's cinematic universe really easily. I don't know why. Something about her seems PTA-ian (pronounced "pah-SHAY-eee-ann") to me. I considered doing a poll here to ask y'all who you thought should win out but that seems a bit like putting the cart in front of the horse, not really knowing anything about the actual role they're playing besides "daughter." Guess we'll see when we see. Deep, that.

But I'm not sure how I feel about this Reese Witherspoon news, which I'd not seen til just now. This role does sound tailor-made for the Reese I like to watch (a la Tracy Flick) though. Oh whatever, I think I'm pretty much ready to like her again now that she and Jake have stopped misbehaving. Tap back into your best bitch, lady!

Ugh. Not Emma Stone. I've only seen her in Zombieland, but she really got on my nerves there. I didn't mind the trailer for Easy A as much as anyone else, though. Anything I should see her in to change my mind?

Seyfried or Woll, though, would be amazing.
