Gratuitous James Purefoy

.

Rome actor James Purefoy turns 45 today. I've never seen an episode of Rome, but I am slightly familiar with Purefoy from a couple of his films. Resident Evil and Vanity Fair spring to mind. I think I'd like to see Bedrooms & Hallways in which he and fellow Rome actor Kevin McKidd appear to do a lot of this:

Anyway, I went a little overboard with the pictures but I got swept up staring at him - he reminds me of Thomas Jane a lot - so whatcha gonna do? Ya gonna deal. There are worse things to have to deal with, believe you me. I could be posting pictures of snot. I imagine there must be a blog that does that. So be glad you're not there.

.
Some previous Purefoy appreciation here.

Bedroom & Hallways is now streaming on Netflix, so you can watch it any old time you want. Not a great flick, but you do get to see these too blokes canoodling. Both of them have beefed up quite a bit since that movie.

Funny you should allow all this Purfoy love to spring forth...just watched R.E. again the other weekend and found myself thinking A) "why didn't I remember Thomas Jane being in this" (oops--I corrected myself a few minutes in) and B) "he is a damn fine man whoever he is!" thanks for all the pics!

Bedrooms and Hallways is not so good - and some would say a little to obsessed with the whole sexuality is fluid notion (esp the ending)

You should definitely watch "Rome". Not only is Purefoy absolutely brilliant as Mark Antony (all simmering sexiness and snarkiness), but he's also full frontal. If you like that sort of thing. ; )

Fans of his would also be excited to know that he has two projects coming up: an NBC summer drama called "The Philanthropist" that starts later this month, and a film version of "Solomon Kane" that doesn't yet have a US distributor but was recently in Cannes.
