the only thing better than the eyes of laura mars is the commentary track on the dvd. have you heard it?

I have not - I rewatched the movie this weekend for the gazillionth time and watched the doc on the DVD but didn't do the commentary. What makes it so great?

dude. please. stop what you're doing and watch it with the commentary on right now. irvin kershner doesn't understand the concept of a commentary. he basically just narrates the whole thing. he explains that her apartment is very nice and that's how we know she's successful woman. the highlight is when faye dunaway is using the video camera to describe what she sees, irvin kershner actually explains what it is that she's saying. he's explaining an explanation of something that didn't need to be explained. and his voice. oh his sweet voice. seriously, i've had parties where we've just watched laura mars with commentary on.

I will watch that pronto, it sounds amazing.

Hard to believe Kershner could not understand something, what with having crafted such a cinematic masterpiece here. [/sarcasm]

That's harsh, I do love this movie. But it's a MESS.

Now if they'd just release the soundtrack on CD, I'd be happy! (Ah, ah, ay, ay, let's all chant!)

What perfect timing...Tori's "Golddust" just popped up on my ipod..."Through the eyes of Laura Mars how did it go so fast..." That song was what first made me seek the movie out, expecting it to be some sort of hidden gem...it was more like a hidden piece of tacky costume jewelry....
