I Am Link

--- Kristen Bell's Magical Metallic Bikini may see the light of day, intact, after all; Via SlashFilm comes word that supposedly - and try and imagine all the weight of the world laying on that supposedly - the Weinsteins have handed the editing of the movie Fanboys back to the film's director for a release later this year, meaning that whole pesky Cancer thing - otherwise known as the entire basis of the plot, or in Harvey's language, "a total downer" - might get to stay. Yeah, believe it when you see it, kids. Darth Weinstein doesn't give up so easily.

--- Is Tamara Still There? - So they're thinking about making a sequel to The Strangers, are they? I did like the film but I don't really see what more they could do with the story, besides rehash the first again. And quite frankly, I'm not sure the masks would be as creepy stretched out for another ninety minutes. Ah, what do I know? Viva Capitalism!

--- Papa Day - In honor of the approaching Father's Day, Stacie Ponder takes a look at the inglorious bastards of horror movie fatherhood. All work and no play, indeed.

--- Zombies Rule, Vampires Drool - Shoot the Projectionist looks at why zombies are so firmly entrenched in the current pop culture moment. The attribution of the "fast zombie" trope that's infected the zombie's current cinematic representation to images of mothers attacking each other over a Tickle Me Elmo doll is genius.

--- Michael On Top - Go give a hoo-rah to Glenn at Stale Popcorn who finished his 100 Greatest Movie Posters countdown today! The top two spots went to two of my favorite films of all time, so no complainin' be heard here. Here's the poster at #1, and here's his rundown of #100-#2.
