Cupid's Shrink

Whereas yesterday seemed to be all about the douche-bags, it appears today is all about my Sisters of Sappho! Give it up, lady-friends! Whoop whoop!

Ahem. I've proclaimed admiration for Sarah "Cherry Jones' girlfriend" Paulson before - right here - and looking through her filmography I now realize that admiration was entirely based on her small - but fuckin' awesome - role in Serenity, her highly entertaining turn in Down With Love, and, well, her status as Cherry Jones' girlfriend. Because I want to be Cherry Jones' girlfriend, and the fact that Sarah Paulson is Cherry Jones' girlfriend makes Sarah Paulson immediately, unquestionably cool.

Anyway, via AICN comes this news:

"Sarah Paulson, perhaps best known as Matthew Perry’s love interest on Aaron Sorkin’s “Studio 60,” will play psychoanalyst Claire Allen in “Cupid,” Rob Thomas’ pilot and intended remake of his own beloved but short-lived 1990s romantic comedy hourlong. Paula Marshall played Claire in the original.

Bobby Cannavale plays what used to be the Jeremy Piven role of Trevor Hale, who thinks he’s the god of romance.

Thomas also previously created and oversaw “Veronica Mars.”"

I've never seen a single episode of Thomas' original Cupid, but I think y'all might be aware what I thought of Veronica Mars, so I am of course paying attention to what's happening with this.

Also, mmm Bobby Cannavale.

i thought Paulson was alos great in Bettie Page she makes those tiny roles really sizzle (see also: serenity as you suggest)

and she's a fine stage actress as well. More reasons to love!

I cannot for the life of me remember her in Bettie Page. I really need to watch that wonderful movie again.
