Today's Mood

In honor of the last day of a week-full of Bryan Singer Today's Moods, a celebration of the low-point in an otherwise decent film:

Storm (Halle Berry),
X-Men

"Do you know what happens to a toad
when it's struck by lightning?
[pause]
The same thing that happens to everything else."

Poor Halle Berry. While definitely not the best thing of any X-Men movies, I thought she did an okay job. I can't wait for Things We Lost in the Fire. Susanne Bier is a genius and she can probably get some good stuff out of Halle.

She was better in the 2nd one. And technically (I did some editing of the start of this post which confused what I was saying, I see now) I was meaning to that the line I quoted was the worst part of the first movie; I didn't mean she was the worst. She was okay, she didn't make me want to murder myself here, as she sometimes does. But that line of dialogue? Hoo boy, that's rotten.
