The Fighter Club

Seems that Brad Pitt has replaced Matt Damon in The Fighter, Darren Aronofsky's next flick, opposite Mark Wahlberg. Via JJ:

"According to Variety, Brad replaced Matt Damon because of scheduling conflicts.

Mr. Pitt will play Dicky Eklund, Mickey’s half-brother and a talented fighter who once went the distance with Sugar Ray Leonard in a title fight but then turned to crime and landed in prison. Then he turned his life around and helped his under-performing brother find the spark for a remarkable run that led to the world title."

That's all. Aronofsky. Pitt. Wahlberg. Boxing. That's all I need.

Course, the last time Pitt deigned to work with Mr. Aronofsky he ended up bailing on The Fountain and causing all sorts of hellish problems... hopefully this time he'll keep his shit together. Ya hear, me, Mr. Pitt? I'm not waiting another four years for an Aronofsky film! I'll come get you! Give you a good spanking! Maybe I'll just do that anyway.

i don't suppose there's any chance that mark wahlberg's character is a mute in this one, is there? he's always rubbed me the wrong way. pretty, though.
