My boyfriend is still alive, yes. As for Harry Earles, he died in 1985.

And that movie is supposed to weird you out. In it's total awesomeness, of course. But I get what you're saying - it's over 70 years old and it still has as much creeptasticness as it did the day it was made. Love Tod Browning, wish I could've known him.
