Reviews for the Unspoiled

Two horror movies I'm really - like, reeeeeally - looking forward to have gotten some reviews online lately, so if you wanna check 'em out, here's the rundown. Just know I have only skimmed 'em and dunno how spoilery they might get.

Hostel: Part II comes out next Friday and I'm sorta sick with the knowledge that I'll be travelling and won't be able to sit down and watch it until a full week later. I KNOW. It's killing me. But anyway, nuff bout me, if you head over to The Horror Blog Steven's put up a post that links to two non-spoilery reviews. There's also a review over at IESB that is apparently a big rave. Word everywhere seems to be very positive. And I am DYING inside.

Michael Dougherty's Trick'r'Treat doesn't come out until October - click here to see my previous rambling on it - but I guess it had a preview screening and there are reviews up at Bloody Disgusting and at AICN. Word's also looking very, very positive on this one.

From the rave on Hostel 2:

"There are 2 big differences here. For one, we have women now (German, Phillips, Matarazzo) as our victims and two- [stuff i'm not sure you know about]. These two changes really make this movie much more visceral, and ultimately more entertaining!"

SEE!! Watching young nubile ladies get murdered to the bloody, bloody end is more "visceral" and "ultimately more entertaining".

Watching men die horrible gruesome bloody deaths? NOT AS VISCERAL OR ENTERTAINING.

:P
